RE: Announcing Actifit V2 Reward System: Activity, content, engagement, user ranks, delegation, moderation and more

in #actifit6 years ago (edited)

I’m very pleased and supportive of any changes that mean more genuine engagement on actifit posts. I’ve a few questions below:

Question 1:

So based on my reading of this post, am I correct in my understanding of the Reward breakdown for the upvote/tokens as follows?

25% for profile - Activity Count
25% for profile - User Rank (Delegation + Actifit tokens)
10% for Content - Report Text
10% for Content - Report images
10% for Content - Report curation by moderator
10% for Community - No. of useful comments
10% for Community - No. of votes (regardless of value)
= Up to 100% of a potential 100 token of rewards,
where Delegation is a separate reward pool of 100k of AFIT tokens.

Assuming I am correct, I am happy with this. Ideally, I don’t wish to post everyday as I try to keep my reports meaningful, and until actifit makes this easier to plan ahead, I can only put out 2-3 max. It’s just too stressful otherwise. But I’m more than happy to forgo the automatic token rewards and earn less on tokens/upvotes due to reduction from rank and posting regularity, if it means the overall quality and reputation of actifit is increased, and people are less likely to ignore them.

Question 2:

As for the upvote percentages of upvoters, aside from upvotes of the actifit offical account, all my larger upvotes and useful comments come from my own circles. So would it be safe to say that if we encourage our supporters to open an actifit account, they can earn tokens passively even if they aren’t posting reports? It’s up to them if they decide to join, but I’d like my supporters to be rewarded too for their good will and support of an actifit report if possible.

Question 3:

My final question is when is each voting session scheduled? Since I’m based in Melbourne, Australia, how will this impact me? I’m hopeless when it comes to Timezone differences. I’d hate to post just before the session and for the post to reward opportunities to be cut off prematurely. I am assuming actifit has thought all this out and I am just missing an obvious piece of the puzzle. Or is it based on post age that causes it to be picked up be the voting/reward session?

Hey Linny,
thank you for all the thoughtful questions!
Question 1:
Seems you got it all figured out, except for User Rank, you missed 2 factors:
25% for profile - User Rank (Delegation + Actifit tokens + Number of total rewarded posts + Number of Recent Rewarded posts in last 10 days)
Question 2:
Upvotes to your posts will actually receive AFIT tokens from a pool of up to 20 AFIT tokens, according to their share based on Steem's voting system, so if they vote late, or have a very small upvote, their share will be quite small. So if you have a post with 1 SBD or higher before Actifit upvotes, the person who upvoted it the earliest and the most will get the bulk value of the 20 tokens, all according to Steem reward distribution system. If your post has several upvotes, and all are of low/equal value and around close times, they will all have "almost equal" distribution of tokens. Again the judge of that will be Steem approach to reward distribution. If the post does not reach 1 SBD, say it reached 0.5 SBD, then instead of 20 AFIT tokens available, only 10 will be available.
Question 3:
The Actifit bot upvotes every time it reaches 100%, this is currently occurring at around 23:00 GMT. While this timing changes daily due to upvote amount cast, yet we advise anyone to check on that if they like to see when the next round occurs.
In the current rewarding mechanism, any post that is less than 30 mins age is left for the next day's round to give it chance for more exposure, we are looking at increasing this to 2, 4, or even 12 hours, as we see how the voting progresses out.

Hope this answers all your questions :)

Question - 3
Hey! Timezone will not impact any activity. Timezone will only reset the activity counter at mid-night 12 AM. If you are posting your activity before 12 AM-Midnight (Melbourne, Australia) then your post will be counted and after midnight, the activity counter will again come on 0 counts. That's how it works!

I meant as far as the voting session for the Actifit rewards, and not the activity count, but warm thanks for responding. :)

Mcfarhatbhas confirmed it is 23:00 GMT.
