While walking through the most famous street in Belgrade Knez Mihailova, this beautiflu girl's voice attracted my attention.
I couldn't resist myself from taking a video of her.
I wanted to tell you a bit more about that. It's Ethno Music. It represents folk music. The music I'm talking about is deeply entrenched in our lives.
Music that describes nature, family relationships, love, love towards hometown, moments of joy and moments of sadness. Music that paints the picture of one nation.
Singing was a part of every-day routine, people would sing when working, in good and bad times.
That music was created, born from the people's souls.
There are many singers of this type of music in Serbia. One of them is Biljana Bilja Krstić-singer, songwriter, from Serbia.
So far she's got 7 albums and also has her songs in movies such as "Savior" and "Zona Zamfirova".
In 2001 with her colleagues from FMU, she establishes an Orchestra Bistrik, with which she achieves big success worldwide and in Serbia.

Dok sam šetala najpoznatijom ulicom u Beogradu Knez Mihailovom, privukao me je glas ove lepe devojke.
Nisam mogla a da ne zabeležim to na videu. Poželela sam da vam malo više kažem o tome.
U pitanju je etno muzika. Ona predstavlja narodnu muziku.
Muzika o kojoj govorim je duboko ukorenjena u naše živote.
Muzika koja opisuje prirodu, porodične odnose, ljubav, ljubav prema rodnom mestu, trenutke radosti i trenutke tuge.
Muzika koja oslikava lice jednog naroda. Pevanje je bilo deo svakodnevnice, jer se pevalo uz rad, u veselju a isto tako i kada je bilo teško.
Ta muzika je stvorena, rodjena iz duše naroda.
Brojni su izvođači etno muzike u Srbiji. Jedna od njih je Biljana Bilja Krstić-pevačica i tekstopisac iz Srbije.
Do danas ima iza sebe 7 albuma i isto tako zapaženu muziku u filmovima kao što su "Savior" i "Zona Zamfirova". Sa svojim kolegama sa FMU-a 2001 godine osniva orkestar Bistrik sa kojima postiže velike uspehe u svetu i u Srbiji.
