When we talk about motivation, we always think of for-profit business organizations. However, motivation is present in any aspect of modern life. In schools, universities, sports teams, development of daily life in general. Authors such as "W. Taylor ", they have expressed, that employees are basically motivated by economic incentives. On the other hand, Abraham Maslow, developed the theory of needs, with a pyramid that hierarchizes the needs of the human being. These are:
Physiological needs. Hunger, thirst, cold, heat, sex, organic needs.
Security needs: Certainty and protection are the main characteristics.
Social needs: Friendship, appreciation, acceptance, sense of belonging.
Need for esteem: Internal factors of the person's self-esteem, self-respect and achievements. External agents: attention, status and recognition.
Self-realization needs: Achieving everything one is capable of, own ambitions, personal growth, development of potentialities.
Based on these five needs, we can understand why the Venezuelan is at this moment completely unmotivated. In the first place, the lack of food that the population is going through is the first level of this pyramid that is not met. There begins the demotivation and therefore the generalized discontent, to the point of emigrating from the country as a place.
Secondly, the population does not feel safe or at home much less on the street, just thinking if they will return alive to their home. At the same time, he does not know what will happen in his immediate future.
On the third level, there are people who do not feel accepted by the government system, as they are contrary to their ideology and are discriminated against in the sale of food or any benefit established by the government. It seems that there are first and second Venezuelans.
On the other hand, the Venezuelan's self-esteem is at very low levels due to the loss of his tranquility, peace and being led to ruin. Workers in both the public and private sectors are demoralized by the loss of their purchasing power that does not cover even basic needs.
No matter how hard you try studying in administrative careers, postgraduate courses, doctorates are not recognized to improve your quality of life and advance in job positions as happens in state companies.
Finally, the self-realization of the Venezuelan has become an almost impossible task due to the costs of studies for children and adults.
These are the reasons, why, the general population of the Venezuelan people is in a generalized demotivation, because it has become impossible to realize each and every one of the needs that raise motivation according to social scientific studies.
