Folks I went to the coin shop today.
I only got 3 dollars. Just 3 dollars, that's less than a cup of Timmy Hortons.
I ended up with a great deal on these dollars at about 45 CAD each. I love buying local from my trusted dealer.
I don't know about you, but, my stack is very silver heavy, and I'm considering adding gold instead. But I always seem to end up buying silver dollars, I just seem to not pass them up.

My favorite source of Canadian silver dollars are from my local N.S.N.S. coin club with their coin auctions at the end of the monthly meetings in Burnaby. There's always a few on the auction table from Collectors that are supplementing their retirement income. Most of the time they're a bit under spot.
I usually save up and buy from the junk bins at the bi-annual coin show, but it seems like saving and waiting doesnt work now. So I kinda just DCA every month now.

I just ordered another 1,000 Coin Box of $1 U.S. Coins at my Bank today…
Sweet. I grabbed a few US dollar coins last time I was in the US. Also a $2 note, just for the collection.
In my younger days, I picked up Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars at the Banks Downtown for One Dollar each… Now, I’m picking up $1 Clad Coins for One Dollar each… Do you think I know something…???

I put a death dollar in the servers hand today at lunch, she had never seen a real dollar before. She was amazed when I said that's what we used to have!

I remember when I got a box of half dollars from the bank, looking for 40% silver, and tried to spend them at Walmart. The cashier didn't know it was a 50 cent piece, and had to ask us Lol!!😇
