Tomorrow it's that time again. I'm writing another five-hour criminal law exam. But it won't be a simple expert opinion like in my studies. This time I have to write two expert opinions including an indictment. And I just learned how that works on Monday 😅. Well, the
I already learned about the structure of the indictment in the last few weeks of my traineeship. But now it's all coming thick and fast.

I have just found out that I will also be on session duty on Thursday. There I will read out the charges for the public prosecutor's office and also hold the pleas. I have yet to receive the indictments. And to make things even more difficult, there are two other trainees in the audience because their instructors are on holiday. You don't want to embarrass yourself in front of them. That increases the pressure even more 😀.

Well, I was allowed to plead last week. That worked quite well. But those were comparatively simple cases with confessed defendants. Now I can't prepare as thoroughly as last time for the trial on Thursday. Only tomorrow after the exam. Well, that'll be something 😅.

Besides, I still have to take care of the next training station at the district or regional court and I still have to register for the patrol with the police. Quite stressful.

Luckily I've waived the autopsy that was scheduled for today. Hopefully the next one will be better.

Liebe Freunde,

morgen ist es wieder so weit. Ich schreibe mal wieder eine fünfstündige Strafrechtsklausur. Aber das wird kein einfaches Gutachten wie im Studium. Dieses mal muss ich zwei Gutachten inklusive Anklageschrift verfassen. Und wie das funktioniert habe ich gerade am Montag gelernt 😅. Gut den
Aufbau der Anklageschrift habe ich schon in den letzten Wochen meines Referendariats kennen gelernt. Aber jetzt geht es Schlag auf Schlag.

Denn eben habe ich erfahren, dass ich am Donnerstag auch noch Sitzungsdienst habe. Dort darf ich für die Staatsanwaltschaft die Anklagen verlesen und auch die Plädoyers halten. Die Anklageschriften bekomme ich erst noch. Und um den Schwierigkeitsgrad nochmal zu erhöhen, sitzen noch zwei weitere Mitreferendare im Publikum, weil deren Ausbilder im Urlaub sind. Vor denen will man sich ja auch nicht blamieren. Das erhöht den Druck nochmal 😀.

Gut, plädieren durfte ich letzte Woche schon. Das hat auch ganz gut funktioniert. Aber das waren vergleichsweise einfache Fälle mit geständigen Angeklagten. Jetzt kann ich mich nicht so ausführlich wie da letzte Mal auf die Verhandlung am Donnerstag vorbereiten. Nur morgen nach der Klausur. Na das wird was 😅.

Außerdem muss ich mich noch um die nächste Ausbildungsstation beim Amts- oder Landgericht kümmern und ich muss mich noch für die Streifenfahrt mit der Polizei anmelden. Ganz schön stressig.

Zum Glück habe ich auf den Obduktionstermin verzichtet, der für heute angesetzt war. Der nächste liegt hoffentlich besser.
