Sometimes in life, we have decisions to make that are not always easy. Almost everything we make decisions on, will have its pros and cons. How do you know which one to follow? The list of pros (well-being, stability, reasonable, happiness, long-term effect, etc) could be smaller than the cons (stress, anxiety, lack of money, health issues, unhappiness, is it worth the energy). Many work hard to get to where they are in life, my being one of them. But, sometimes we get thrown lemons and life gets turned upside down. The path we find ourselves down was not one we had planned. It is those moments where we struggle to keep our head held high. Life seems to suddenly turn everything into chaos around us. How do you pull yourself out of it?
My life was going pretty well for most the part, until Covid, and finally once again for the last 6 months. New neighborhood (which means no unruly neighbors) and a new job (less stress). The fresh atmosphere was much needed. But, I have suddenly found life turning upside down once again. In order to save myself from losing everything I worked hard for, I went back to what was my biggest stress builder. I have a choice (but not really) in accepting this as the path meant for me. The fear of losing everything lingers in my mind.
Like so many, I am strong (sort of) and I know I will pull through this (in time). I just hope the better income is worth the stress, and that I will find a way to keep thinking positive thoughts (a home, food, bills paid, connecting with beautiful people).
How do you keep your sanity when faced with tough choices? I would love to hear them, knowing that many of us are going through the same thing.
