Hey dear Hiveans, first of all I wish you a nice day and hopefully good health! Also today I would like to introduce a plant a little closer and hope you find it interesting, I would have liked to present more pictures, but hope you like it anyway!
The common name is Broad-leaved dock and scientifically Rumex obtusifolius. About 150 different species belong to the genus Rumex and this genus was created in the 17th century by the well-known naturalist Carl von Linné. You can find it grown rather wild, for example, on roadsides, meadows or fields in Europe, Africa and Western Asia. Rumex obtusifolius is perennial and can reach a height of 20 -130 cm, the distribution works mainly via seeds.
In the past, the plant was also used for healing purposes and mainly the leaves and roots were used, generally interesting how many medicinal active ingredients can be found in the roots of some plants. When eating, you should still be careful because the plant can be slightly toxic due to the oxalic acid content. It is always important to ask your doctor about the use and side effects!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my Post, I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.
looking at the leaves I immediately thought of one of the leaves from guava
Sounds interesting, guava plant does not grow here. I really have to take a look at it! Have a nice day, dear @elkan
I think this is not so common plant, but no the less it is beautiful.
Thanks for your kind words :)
Yes you are right, we keep seeing such plants on the sides of the road .
Exactly this plant is rather inconspicuous, but still very interesting.
Yeah you are absolutely right. Whatever medicine the doctor gives us, we need all the details about it, even if it expires, because a few days ago, a doctor here gave a wrong injection to a man, due to which he died. This plant looks so beautiful and amazing. I have also seen such plants wherever there is water.
Clearly, no matter what kind of medicine you should always inform yourself enough or ask a doctor. Something like that is really sad to hear, especially because this person trusted this doctor. Thanks for your feedback and have a nice day dear friend @djbravo
Yeah you are right. Most welcome dear.
