How do you fix the puzzles in your life?

in #persistence2 years ago (edited)

A lot of things have been running through my mind and to get a clear view of them, I have to write them down and take a closer look at them so I can have a better understanding of them.

Having the right people to support you.

Earlier today at church, a few minutes before the sermon ended, we were shown two clips that lasted for a few minutes. The summary of the message that was passed across to us through the clip was that when you have the right people to support you, nothing would be impossible for you.

The first clip showed a little boy who seemed to be in a taekwondo team trying to break wood into two pieces and his master seemed to be the one holding the wood with his hands.

The master held the wood and watched the little boy try to break the wood with his legs. He tried several times but couldn't break it. At some point, he became sad and wanted to give up because he felt that he could not do it. The master who noticed this immediately encouraged him not to give up and gave corrections where necessary, he cheered the little boy up and that gave him the strength and courage to try again.

The little boy cheered up and did all he could again without giving up even though he kept failing. After a few more attempts, he broke the wood with his feet. He was so happy, and so were his master and friends that were around him.

The second clip showed a video of a man in a 400-meter race. A few minutes into the race, he had a hamstring. He would have just stopped and ended the race there because of the pains he felt from the hamstring, but he didn't. He started to limp on the track as he couldn't run. The first aiders and security men came to take him off the track but he stopped them and told them that he could do it. He still didn't want to give up. More security men came and tried to stop him, but suddenly a man from the crowd came out to help him. The man also stopped the security men and helped the man with the hamstring limp his way forward.

Guess what? The man who came out from the crowd was the father of the man with the hamstring. He told his weeping son that he didn't have to do it and could just stop but he said no that he was going to do it. Together, the father wrapped his son's hands around his neck and helped his limping son to the end of the track where he let him go and allowed him to cross the finishing line.

This man with the hamstring may not have gotten a winner's award but he got an ovation from a massive crowd and this was something the winner never got.

Even when we fall several times, we never fail until we quit trying. There are pains a just person has to endure on the path to success and anyone who doesn't have that endurance is certainly not ready for success. Before every success story, there are lots of hardships in it, and success is born from persistence, consistency, and endurance.

What's your motivation?

A friend of mine told me that she had the opportunity to learn a vital skill earlier before now but wasn't able to learn it because she didn't take it seriously. Now she's ready but she can't learn by herself as her friends did. Most of her friends learned from home but she feels that she would be distracted and may not be able to learn by herself, so she needs motivation which she feels she can get when she's in the midst of other people learning. I think that it's just great, and I wish her good luck!

I recently started watching a series titled 'Alchemy of souls.' I've only just gotten to the third episode and I was able to pick something from the parts that I have watched. It is a series that has to do with casting of spells and other magical activities.

In the series, there is something called the "Gate of energy", however, for this man, it was closed and because of this, he couldn't do anything out of the ordinary. He was able to find a master for himself after his gate of energy was opened. During his training, his master noticed that he had no martial art skills

She asked him why he didn't try to learn the basic martial arts even though he couldn't learn to cast spells. He replied by saying that he wasn't motivated and informed to do something, he needs to feel motivated to do so.

This brings me to my recent thoughts

....which are also related to my area of interest.

The last time I spoke with a therapist, she gave me the assignment to write down my areas of interest. To develop myself in those areas, I need to know them.

Doing the assignment, I discovered that finding oneself and knowing your areas of interest isn't something you know in a day, a week, a month, or a year. This life is a journey, and just like series have episodes, our lives also have episodes too and we get to discover new things about ourselves in each episode.

A few things I wrote which are my areas of interest are music, technology, and writing. I want to build a career in music and technology and I want to develop my writing skills.

There is so much I want to learn

...I'm eager to learn a lot of things and develop myself, especially in my area of interest so that I can add value to myself.

I'm a fast learner, I can work under pressure, and my mind is open to learning things that would add value to me.
But one question I keep asking myself is " Where do I start from"? I honestly feel clueless.

Speaking of building a career in tech, a friend has suggested that I could learn the basics on YouTube with my mobile phone and save up for a PC later on. I know that there are some apps related to programming that I may not be able to open on my mobile phone and this is why a PC is important. When it comes to music, I would need to get close to people that are already thriving in this area. The important thing is being focused, determined, consistent, and persistent in all I do.

In summary,

....there are lots of things I want to do and I am eager to learn although I'm still in a state where I'm trying to put those puzzles together so I can understand where to start.

I will drop my pen down here while I ponder more on my thoughts and try to fix these puzzles.
