A couple of weeks ago, I took a break from rewarding posts to to get my voting mana percentage up. At the time, Hive said it would take just short of 2 day to get my voting mana fully charged.
After 2 days, I checked. I still needed 27 hours to get to 100%.
I waited 2 more days and I still need just over 24 hours. This entire time I had given no rewards.
After 2 weeks of giving no rewards, I still needed just over a day to get to 100%. Then it dawned on me I participate in an automatic curation. So, the whole time I was trying to completely fill my voting mana, I was rewarding multiple posts automatically.
Oh well, the best laid plans don't always work and this was one. I really did not want to stop participating in the curation train so I decide to live with a maximum 80% voting mana.
I am back to rewarding posts again which makes me feel a lot better.
A couple of question
- Is the requirement to make Dolphin still 5000 Hive? I reached 5000 on July 1st and am not a Dolphin. Maybe it takes a while to be recognized.
- Is there a way to encode a video in 3Speak and not have it show up as a post? I have tried omitting title, tags, and community and the video still shows up as a post. Or is it better to always use 3Speak to create the post?

That is annoying when we miss things that should be obvious, lol
As far as Dolphin goes, the number continues to slowly rise over time. I have found nowhere where it is stated, I just know that I had transferred in enough funds to make my HP total around 5700.00.
I think the recent threshold is like 5400. I am not exactly sure. Hopefully, someone much smarter than me on these things will comment and update us.
Maybe @arcange will read this and fill us in.
The bottom line, keep stacking and staking the best you can.

Well, the same thing happened to me too. Until I remembered I was in several voting trails. So I removed the trail for a month to recalibrate. Then I carefully considered my voting percentage I was giving to each. In the end, I decided to remove myself from the trails until my HP was higher. I was delegating over 3/4 of my HP, so my mana took nearly 5 days to replenish.

I just made a post on this. Dophin status is bestowed upon anyone with 10 Million vests. That used to be 5K HP years ago, but these days it's around 5.62K HP.

Glad to know your mana is back :) Regarding your questions, Dolphin might be more than 5k HP. Not sure. I read sometime ago that it is above that range. As to encoding video, I have no idea yet hehe.

I thought that if you are voting with under 80% you are wasting parts of vp, I should try myself and see how much is a vote worth at 90% compared to 70% let's say.

I won't go any lower, for now, so: First vote vas done with 91.77% vp and the second one 82% vp, the difference is 6 points here, and the lower you go with your vp percentage, the weaker your vote will be, and the differences will be a lot higher if you have a higher HP than mine. I think there are some articles around showing that voting under 80% is not worth it as you are losing rewards on the way.
I also try to keep my voting mana upto 80. It takes 24 hours to fill up again.
I am also following trails and my votes are automated but I allow the automatic vote to use upto 90% of my mana. The rest I use on my choice.
5000 is not for becoming dolphin. It is slightly higher. I don't remember the exact value yet I remember that it was above 5000

The dolphinhood 5400 something threshold was new info to me haha. I thought my goal for 5000 hp would make me a dolphin, now I know to aim just a little higher :)
