Introducing Fortculture

Welcome to one of the first civilisational early warning/risk-based networks, think tanks & consultancies.

'Fortculture' means the fortification of culture through 'telesis', i.e., the attainment of desired ends by the application of intelligent human effort to the means.

Empires rise, empires fall and empires compete but do you understand why?

We help our network make better sense of what they sense, re civilisational changes taking place. We also help to design stress-testing measures, by taking things to their logical extremes. Once you know how to synthesise past, present and future, you will then be able to read, predict, perhaps even shape the world around you.

Our research demonstrates that civilisation cycles do exist, with smaller cycles operating within them. We arm our network with practical intelligence and intellectual frameworks backed up by hard science and deeper wisdom, not offered in today's intellectual marketplace.

We are also in the early stages of designing a new academic discipline and we call this 'Civilisational Mechanics', best described as the study of how civilisations, or large, complex societies, develop and change over time. This includes examining the social, political, economic, and cultural factors, that shape the development of civilisations, as well as the interactions and conflicts between different civilisations.

Civilisational mechanics also focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms that drive the growth and decline of civilisations and how these mechanisms can be influenced by external factors such as natural disasters, technological innovations, or external invasions.

Overall, civilisational mechanics seeks to provide a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the evolution of civilisations and the ways in which they interact with one other and the world around them.

Are you reinventing the wheel?
"study of how civilisations, or large, complex societies, develop and change over time. This includes examining the social, political, economic, and cultural factors, that shape the development of civilisations"
That´s what anthropologists do, since quite a while!

On the other hand - welcome to Hive, glad you found us!

I'm more of a student of civilisational mechanics/civilisation cycles analyst/researcher. The scientists are gradually moving into history which used to be more of an art. History is "a vast early warning system" but you need to know how to read the mood-music like any complex discipline.

It's been an epic journey thus far spanning millennia, from Thucydides (History of the Peloponnesian war) to Sima Qian's (Records of the Grand Historian). From Ibn Khaldun's (The Muqaddimah) to Edward Gibbon's (The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire). From Oswald Spengler's (Decline of the West) to the scientific frontiers of this discipline, Jim Penman's (Biohistory), with which to make better predictions in the knowledge that the past is the future.

Please follow if you're interested in civilisational mechanics, how it applies today in real-time, where we analyse multi-disciplinary subjects such as history, biology, cross-cultural anthropology, economics, epigenetics, neuroendocrinology & more.

Environment, cultural values & childrearing patterns etc., all combine to determine whether societies prosper or collapse, how social change can be both predicted & potentially modified through biochemistry. Some scientists believe that our only hope now for civilisation may lie hidden deep within human nature itself. Perhaps we can unlock secrets where others have failed. Time no longer an ally.

Hopefully many of the posts we hash out will be a combination of autistic-unfiltered truth + intellectual sadism + satire = insightful entertainment.

Welcome to Fortculture!

While you are correct that this statement is quite general, I think what FortCulture does is analyse history and trends from the BioHistory angle.
BioHistory is a groundbreaking biological and physiological approach to history by Australian Professor Jim Penman. See https://www.amazon.com/Biohistory-Decline-Fall-Jim-Penman/dp/1443871303

Welcome to Hive!
