New Frontiers

Hello Steemit! Last week on @sndbox, we announced the beginnings of The Creative Crypto, our new magazine-to-be that will serve as a professional showcase of all things creative in the decentralized world. We encourage you to check out the original linked post to see the scope of what we’re aiming for as we prepare for our full launch.

Today, as the first post on our newly minted @creativecrypto account, we’ll be looking at the exact logistics of how this account will be used, how contributions will work, and how post earnings / rewards will be distributed.

How this Page will Work

The @creativecrypto account will be dedicated to posting a mix of short and long-form articles [that will be reformatted in the www.thecreativecrypto.com interface], alongside major updates and Steemit-based activities. Articles will be complimented by questionnaires and Steem-centric campaigns to better grasp the creative landscape through the Steem community. All articles will be published on the Steem blockchain, but the content will also focus on creative impact throughout the cryptocurrency environment. The outward facing website - thecreativecrypto.com - will be an easy to approach site where newcomers can learn about all kinds of cryptocurrency projects.

Each article will be authored by contributors and vetted by a dedicated editorial team. Many of these initial articles will cover creative and community work executed within the Steemit ecosystem. Over time, the content will expand to cover many other cryptocurrencies in a fashion similar to cointelegraph.com. The types of articles (of course subject to change an be added onto) will be as follows -

  • Spotlight on an Individual, Organization, Company, or Project
  • Interview with Leading Professional(s)
  • Theoretical and Practical Applications of Crypto in the Creative World
  • Events and Announcements

A weekly newsletter will be put out by email for those signed-up on The Creative Crypto and published here on this account as well.

Role & Reward Breakdown

The structure of the team and SBD post rewards will be distributed in the following way (below). 100% of the SBD earned from blog posts will be distributed to the contributors. This reward structure will become active once @creativecrypto officially launches this Spring.

No Steem Power will go to personal accounts and all major expenditures will be broadcasted through this account prior to any withdrawals.

Wow, so impressed how sndbox just keeps innovating! Keep up the fantastic work!!

@dougkarr, thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm! We can't wait to get this up and running. There's so much brewing. Stay tuned :)

Digging the logo!

It's been two months on the site and I have to say that I always looked to sndbox's articles for some real reading. It's exciting to have a magazine where we can expect to have content about the impact of crypto in the creative world.

I generally prefer to shy away from the word 'creative'. Let's say Richard Florida had something to do with that. But it's exciting to also use it to reflect on Rise of the Creative Class. What comes to mind immediately is to work on something that kind of reflects on Florida's views in an article Rise of the Crypto-Creative Class.

Interesting project! How can i get involved?

Hi @luiggih! If you come across an interesting project that aligns with The Creative Crypto mission - share a link and a short blurb describing the project. Comments will be curated by the @creativecrypto team and eligible for partial @sndbox upvotes. We want to engage the broader Steemit public as much as possible. As the magazine develops we'll be exploring new roles and ways to participate.

Is a post like these elegible?
https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@luiggih/bitcoin-expect-the-unexpected-3-new-bull-cycle-about-to-start
There's some creativity involved and keeping tuned about bitcoin is key for most steemit users (since all alts are valued in bitcoin)

Looking forward to your repply

Hey @creativecrypto,
I'm happy for this new development. The @Sndbox community just keeps expanding the vision far beyond the eyes can see. Glad to be a fellow!

This all seems so cool and amazing. If you need any artist participation, let me know, I'd be happy to join in. :)

Looking forward to seeing the launch of The Creative Crypto, and discovering some great content.

I love this idea. How can I get involved?

A magazine for makers and blockchain creativity? That sounds like something that the @steemmakers and @thesteemhouse should be involved in for sure!

i think am late?

Hi! First of all I want to thank you for doing this and introduce myself: My name is Angy and I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I am a Visual Artist who makes collage and GIF animations using paper money as the main material for my creations. My personal project is named Recorta y mueve (it means cut and move) and it is related with the value we give to things around us.
I am new here on the Steem it community, and I came here to tell the story and the process of my project, because I find this network really meaningful.
I read about your magazine and thought how great it would be to get involved with it. My project was born inside a very difficult process of protests and civil insurrection. Also the economy here in Venezuela is a disaster. In my creations, fragments of our social and economic reality are given a new function to confront ourselves with new possibilities. I strongly believe that those possibilities are related with the use of creativity and imagination, and for that reason I am committed to use my voice. That is the reason why I think I can relate to your project, I want more people here to know that there are other possibilities.
Here it is my online portfolio and instagram account:

Very cool, this is much needed to expand and aggregate creatives pushing their work onto the blockchain. Will be following and contributing.
