RE: am i a writer now?

You write very well and that to translate to some success here.

The things that I wish people had told me when I first started are too numerous to lay out for you here but I will say that engaging with the communities that you decide to post in will help grow your blog and will yield the best quality of follower. Plus, when you are new, commenting is often more profitable than posting. Stay away from spam followers. There are people who will comment things like "great post" or "nice picture" and they will follow you but they do that to everyone and are unlikely to ever interact with your content ever again.

I went ahead and followed you because you seem interested in producing quality content (judging by this post).

Welcome and good luck.

Thank you for your extensive comment! Yeah, I noticed a lot of clutter going on here, such as bots and unvaluable reactions.

It makes sense: first I give attention to others (because that's what most of us want right, being read) and probably it comes back to me. We reap what we sow.

No problem. I try to go through the introduceyourself tag every so often and if I see someone who seems like they can write, I will try to tell them something more useful than "welcome" or whatever. There is a lot of spam and people looking to get their follower count up.

The big thing is to stick with it over time. It takes a little while before most people make anything to speak of here so it is easy to get disappointed. If you write quality stuff you will get noticed. If you want more exposure early on, you can use resteem bots but that is a gamble and you may take a loss on that post but you will likely pick up more followers as a result. Networking works best but it is time consuming.

It is okay to post from the start but a post may take a couple of hours to write but you can say something cleaver in a few words and make almost as much on a comment.

The other thing that might be helpful is don't judge your progress against the things that you see on the trending page because most of those people use bid bots for high value upvotes. They may have a $500 payout but they spent $485 to get it.

Hey! Thanks for resteeming this post with resteembot. That's how I found it.

Haha no problem. I have stopped using those services on my own posts because I find that they earn almost as much on their own now but if I see someone who writes well or did something that I like I will pay a little to get them some exposure.

I, personally, switched to posting in the nobidbot tag and resteem services are a bit of a gray area there. I get seen my less people but the people in that tag tend to upvote things based on quality so it is a fair trade off.
