Hello everyone, welcome to my blog and happy weekend to you all. I hope you're all doing well even with the high cost of things at the market this days? I'm sure many people probably have gotten what they need for the weekend with their families.
I'm happy it's another #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle, it's always a privilege to go out to the market and get things for the family or for yourself, it could be something consumable or not, but the ability to stroll round to get new things for yourself it's a very nice one.
So it was time to get something else to make dinner since what I actually wanted to purchase initially was very expensive. I decided to buy potatoes after strolling round the market looking for a cheaper plantain to buy. I noticed plantain this period is at the high side and getting just a little to eat is also difficult especially those who doesn't have enough funds for it.
I priced five pieces of plantain and the market seller told me it was #2500 which is $4 plus. I couldn't help but retrieve my direction to another place, I had imagine buying that small piece of plantain for that price. It made me remember how we used to buy that size of plantain for $250 which was even less than $1, just imagine the difference here. Instead of going for what I couldn't afford, I later decided to buy potatoes and besides it's been awhile since I last had potatoes so it won't be a bad idea to change meal for a while. Hehehehe
I'm sure you might probably be wondering if I bought one bowl of potatoes and how I will finish it. I'm not a food but I like to buy things in bulk just to ease stress if probably I want to buy more later and no I didn't buy the whole bowl, I only bought little that will serve me for just few weeks from now and if properly stored, it won't get spoiled. Though the potatoes wasn't cheap either just that as it stands now, it probably better than plantain 🤣🤣

You seem to have a great time at the market, it's painful how price increase daily, Because we ended up going for alternative leaving what we actually want most time.
I pray things change soon.
I pray so too
Thanks for visiting my post
At least you ended up buying 🤩🤩
Things are going higher every day and it's so annoying at the market. The way my money vanishes in the market nowadays eehh🤔🤔
My dear I don't know where this country is going, I just hope things get better soon
We hope so my dear....what God cannot do, does not exist 🤣🤣
Abi oooooo 😝😝
Everything everywhere seems to be getting more expensive by the day. Good thing we have other choices though :) We do that too sometimes, buying in bulk or buying more than we needed as long as these are stuff that will not spoil right away.
