When we try to search in unsplash or many other free image sources websites, often we find cacti appearing under minimalism tags. It’s interesting how cacti has become a marker of minimalism and minimalist lifestyle. Even in cafes and most places that try to bring minimalism into its space always decorates theirs with a cactus.

Minimalism itself has some color palettes that are mostly pastel. But specifically they are either ivory, white, even beige and even sand. For me, these colors are appealing and give a comfort vibe whenever I enter a space with those colors. However those colors aren’t the limit of the minimalism palette. If you are someone who likes colorful choices, there are some, only the color would be a bit of pastel.

I think the collection above is my first series attempting to bring minimalism. Those pictures were taken today when I visited a place with such a vibe. The place tries to have a minimalist vibe but it was more like a cute little corner with a cool view of the bustling city.

At some point, I wanted to make a directory of pictures that I take under themes. Some of my pictures are under CC0 license on unsplash which I or anyone can use anytime as a means to beautify my posts. Since I happen to write about minimalism quite often, I want to create that too, a collection of minimalism images or anything that relates to minimalism.

Let me know what you think of my first attempt!

The camera I use is Sony DSC-H300.
