My flowers are blooming
This year, I had set up a bird feeder in front of my bedroom window so that we could watch the birds eat. It was really cool to watch them and my cats loved it too. The only bad thing was that so many seeds fell onto the ground and started growing all sorts of plants.
I ended up moving the bird feeder somewhere else where I didnt mind if new stuff began sprouting up. I threw some wild flower seed down where the bird feeder used to be and we just waited to see what would happen.
We got a bunch of different little plants that started sprouting up. We even have what looks like stalks of corn growing. It is hard to tell at this point, but I wouldn't mind having a few stalks of corn to eat.
The flowers I am most excited for are the sunflowers that started growing a couple months ago. I have never grown real sunflowers, just the smaller imitation sunflowers.
We probably have like five or six of them growing right outside of our window and the tree where I moved the bird feeder has about four of them starting. I think my wife and I are going to pull up all the rocks in the area in front of our window and just plant a huge thing of sunflowers next year.
The bees really seem to love these sunflowers. We really just want to have flowers all over in our front yard.
The structure of sunflowers is pretty amazing. It is really cool how nature just creates this stuff that is geometrically perfect.
It is cool watching the flower open up and begin to change. Nature is pretty awesome.
I am excited to catch some of the seeds and eat them. I love sunflower seeds. When I was in the military, I would bring pounds of seeds to the field whenever we went out.
It's cool getting pictures of the bees as they come in to land on the sunflowers.
I can't wait to have more of these blooming. This year has been pretty cool experimenting with my garden areas. I moved all my tomato plants to the backyard and they are thriving back there. It was way too hot in the front for them. It has been really cool eating the tomatoes that I have grown. I am looking forward to having a larger garden next year.
Beautiful flowers man. You have some really cool plants outside this year, and I'm looking forward to see what you do next year with the ideas you've been talking about.
This post made me realize I haven't grown any flowers at all this year. I might have to get a sunflower growing for a winter bloom.
It’s really good to see your flowers bloom
They are very fresh and you have taken good photos of them

Great captures. Love the dof.
My sunflowers or other flowers are not even close to flowering yet. Just 20 cm high… 🌼 hope I will see some flowers 🤞🏻
