Hello everyone 👋,

Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. As always glad you stopped by. I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's get cracking 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Today the world cup is on a break so no games. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today the government launched a new project to modernize rail transport.
Globally, Ukraine trending as president Zelensky was named Time's person of the year🎉👋. This for his leadership and bravery he exhibited throughout the war. Putin had expected him to escape the country 😹.
Speaking of Putin, he has warned of a long war with Ukraine 🙀. Also warning that the threat of nuclear war is growing 🙀.
Political shenanigans in Germany as 25 people were arrested over an alleged far right coup plot🙀. Elsewhere, the UK is bracing for a wave of workers strikes, including border staff, nurses, rail workers, teachers 🙀. The high inflation has made things expensive.
Down in China, the govt has eased many of the strict covid measures. The protests seem to have worked😹. Meanwhile president Xi Jinping is in Saudi Arabia attending the Chinese Arab summit.
Across the pond in the US, former president Trump's company has been found guilty of tax fraud in New York 🙀. He always bragged about how he wisely evades paying taxes😹.
More political shenanigans in Peru as the president declared a state of emergency, dissolved congress and called for a new election 🙀. This after congress had voted to impeach him😹.
