It seems like every now and then I just need to come home from a full-time job, sit down, stare at the emptiness, and then decide to play during the 3 hours I have off. It's not ideal, and I know I should be doing other productive things, but it's the only time I feel like I can do something I'm passionate about. Just the fact that I can play Hades 2 makes me want to do it all over again, and the same goes for The Messenger.
And if you think this post got sentimental maybe you're right, I've been going through moments where I just want to leave everything and dedicate myself to this art, to play video games, review them on some page and live From my experiences, who knows, maybe I'll dedicate myself to the YouTube channel that I recently opened and of which I'm still making the first video, but in the meantime I'm here playing this wonder.
I had This game sat on my PC for 7 months, I played it for half an hour and then I put it aside, I was probably playing something else and forgot it on the desktop, after a while I picked it up and it ended up being one of the best games I've ever played, a perfect mix between nostalgia and making a good game that pays homage to all those it's inspired by.
Just the first landscape captivates you, everything looks so familiar and at the same time the art seems to have been improved quite a bit, even so it's the good pixel art that I've been liking these last few years, of the games of this style that I've been trying I think I'd put it high up in the top 3, it's a beautiful visual art that is only complemented by the levels and the gameplay, I play to see the landscapes it has and without a doubt they make a good time to take screenshots.
In addition to being a good game, it has good mechanics as well as some new ones that are revealed as you progress through the title, much of this seems to me to be a reason enough to play all the levels including the extras, which are some of the most difficult I've seen, and the level design is another marvel, without further ado I'll leave you with the images.
Oh, and if you have any other game you can recommend, please do so in the comments. This game was recommended to me by a Hiver and I'm willing to see what other games I can play, so you know, leave your comment down there.
I wouldn't take these screenshots as gaming photography if it was another pixel game or maybe just a game with a lots of HUD. But I can't help but notice the fantastic vibrant graphics of this game.
