A Christian is someone who believes in Jesus Christ and follows his teachings according to here
In my own way, I'll say a Christian is someone who is Christ-like; someone who always strive to be like Christ or Someone who will always do what Christ love.
Away from the gross misconception that a Christian is one who goes to church every Sunday or one who carries the Bible to wherever he goes or even one who quotes every chapter of the Bible of by Heart...
A Christian is one who actually reads the Bible and puts into practice what the words of God has said.
A Christian should have basic tripod principle of believe and they includes:
Christ's Coming
The Bible told us through John 3:16 that:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
A true Christian will first of all accept that the Lord sent HIS only Son not just to see the world and enjoy the lives of humans but rather to come and pay the price for our own sins.
A true Christian is one who treats his neighbour with love just the way our Father in heaven loves us
This is one of the core basis of any Christian belief.
Christ's Death
As the season of the church may have it, we are currently in the Lenten season.
This is a period marked out to help us remember the sufferings and tribulations that Christ suffered to gain us the victory we celebrate today.
It is a season that helps us remember that Christ paid our price the hard way by dying on the cross of Calvary.
And by His wounds and tribulations, we were healed.
A true Christian is one who believes that the death of Christ on the cross was for his salvation and will not take it likely.
Remembering this sacrifice, he or she will always strive to be better and do the things that will please God.
Christ's Resurrection
On the 3rd day of Christ's death, he resurrected in glory as our Bible teaches us.
The resurrection of Christ marks our victory not only over sin but also our victory over death.
Christ resurrected to let us know that there is life after here on earth where the Saints and Angels are gathered.
A true Christian not only believes in the death of Christ but also anticipate His second coming.

These are great truths. These three firms a Christians faith and I believe the Bible also pointed out that those who claim to be Christian and not have love in their hearts are actually empty of God. I believe Love is the whole Gospel because Jesus came because of love, he died because of love and he rose to strengthen our faith so as to further the gospel of love.
