Hello Everyone!
To think that I have a whole new year of more opportunities to fulfil the monthly HIVE Power-Ups makes the new year festivities even sweeter!
It's been like two years last time I watched the fireworks sort of in-person because of David, he's afraid of them. I've been trying to make them understand and help him lose the fear but so far no luck but I managed to put him to sleep this time and he was so tired that the noise didn't bother him lol
So I recorded the fireworks! And with some editing magic skills (cough), I made a pretty video!

Madeira Island is known as one of the best fireworks show in the world! Or just Europe I'm not sure and I'm biased lol
There was a time that the show was longer like 15 minutes or so but they slowly got short in money so now normally it's 8 minutes but even so they try to innovate like I don't know if it shows in the video but I noticed that some fireworks would turn into emojis!
There was also a group from Redbull that made a sky diving right before the fireworks as well, they were like shooting stars but that was probably while I was trying to put my toddler to sleep lol you can see some pictures here: https://www.redbull.com/pt-pt/feliz-2022-acrobatas-dos-ceus-surpreendem-na-madeira

It is one of the main attractions here in the island besides the Flower Festival!
In the past it was longer but like mostly everywhere the budget got short so went from 15mins to 8min.
So they do their best to be the best 8 minutes ever! They even got a few skydivers with lights minutes before the main show but I missed them because of my grumpy toddler lol

I haven't been to fireworks in years. the last time I can remember, I think it was 2007. All my children were old enough to get excited about though, but I do remember those days where I had to miss out on the fun because the young child was scared.
Now it doesn't phase me, I rather avoid the crowds.

Most of the time we just stay at my inlaws or my husband's grandparents house to watch the fireworks because it's high in the mountains away from everyone, only on rare occasions when me and my husband were just the two we would go to the city center or watch with friends. Even before we wouldn't like be in the crowd and nowadays even less lol

Thank you! I have a video editor on the phone and it's been a while last time I used so I played with it a bit!
And of course the fireworks here in the island are always awesome and I think it was considered one of the best in the world but I'm biased lol
