Tuesdays with Morrie (Book Review)

in Hive Book Clublast month (edited)

Welcome to my Blog

Hello all hive friends. Hope you all are well. This is my first post in this wonderful book review community. Today I will introduce you to one of my very favorite books Tuesdays with Morrie or try to summarize the book and of course tell you why I think Tuesdays with Morrie is a book that everyone should read at least once in their life. But I think this book is one such book that after you start and finish reading you will not be the same person. At least a little bit will change in you.

First, I want you to look at the very cover of the book and you will see that "an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson" written here does not sound interesting to listen to. It seems very boring but I can confirm one thing that the book is not a boring book at all. If you ever search for Mitch Album on YouTube and start listening to his speeches, you will feel that this man's story-telling is gifted in the same way that when you read Tuesdays with Morrie, you feel that he is still gifted when he writes.
Whether or not this gentleman has anything else to say, his storytelling is superb, both written and spoken, and if you want to read a book that gives you a sense of peace and flow, then Tuesdays with Morrie is the book for you to pick up.

Now, let's know about the main book. At the beginning, you understand that Morrie is a man's name. He's a professor. He's a professor of sociology. Mitch and Morrie are two direct students and teachers, and this is Mitch. The one who separated with Mori 16 years ago after graduation, naturally after graduation we don't really keep track of our teachers anymore, that's what happened to him, so if I wanted to put it straight into the story, I'd say 16 years later.
His favorite teacher who is going to be dead by ALS disease.

Now let me tell you a little about ALS. ALS is a disease that disables every part of the body one by one. It completely paralyzes everything. If you have seen Stefan Hawking, you must have seen him too.

And after Mitch found out, he went to see his favorite teacher, after he went to see him. Somehow, I'm trying to cut it short. Every Tuesday, she was going to see Morrie, and every Tuesday, Mitch would record Morrie's conversations with Mitch. Yeah, that's because after some time we know he will not be able to talk anymore. The disease starts from his legs and then slowly his hands become paralyzed and at some point we know that his speech will also stop.

This professor wants to share with the world the experience of his age but a 78-year-old man is the only part of his life. When he is sick, a journalist comes from television. In the famous times a man comes and conducts an interview and then the news of Morrie's illness spreads so much that Mitch finds out what really happened to him. Somehow when they are connected, every Tuesday Morrie and Mitch talk about different topics such as Money, Marriage, Love No Intellectual Matters Sapper will teach you many things but not at all but very simple things Community Empathy is about these things they talk and record those words and one by one Mitch meets this Morrie at 14 Tuesday.

Either 14 Tuesdays he had together and those 14 Tuesdays are the conversations recorded in this book. Now you will think, ok fine story telling "I understand a man is dying, but why do I have to read this book?" Because, I told you that after reading this you will see a positive change in yourself. You Will Not Be The Same Person Before And After Reading This Book This Is That Kind Of Book. Very Simple Story Telling Is of course. But You start to feel attached to the man Morrie and the following you start to feel attached to and his philosophy on life will fascinate you. I think probably the fifth Tuesday where he talks about family then that Tuesday where he talks about marriage. This paragraph I can't explain what I like You can relate to everything here if you don't have respect for your partner if you don't learn to compromise a little and lastly the point specially said that If our life value is not the same then it is not really stable anymore.

Yes something like that is a very simple word. I have mentioned the names of my favorite chapters. I have family marriage and last number 13. I am dying to be the person who loves to talk and to communicate with people.

He used to do it when he was losing everything little by little and at the last minute when he was struggling to breathe and talking very slowly he was asked if you were given 24 hours in your previous normal life if you could walk again for 24 hours If you can then what will you do? Then the answer that Morrie gives is very motivational. He says that what he wants in those 24 hours is to wake up in the morning and have breakfast or go to the white house. Then he will invite his friends, he will hang out with his friends, he will eat lunch, then he will hang out with his friends in the evening, he will hang out with his friends again at night, he will sleep.

If 24 hours would have a normal life then he wants a normal life. Coming to this place it seems to me how lucky we are that we can take a breath, we can walk this simple thing that we don't realize at all is this the 14th was Last Tuesday and you'll feel how grateful we should be that we can talk because of that feeling. In each chapter you'll get a message.

Thank You

Okay. First of all, the fact this review doesn’t have paragraphs, makes it hard for me to focus, lol..

I am not a big fan of non-fiction. In fact, I haven’t finished one in years.. I pick em up and stop midway. But since this sounds like a story, it seems pretty good to me.

It definitely look like a book with a lot of lessons

I am so sorry about that. It's my fault. But thank you so much for reading it. 💝

Oh dear... it is nothing to apologize for 🌹

Thank you for the correction. I have edited the post. ❤️

Okay. That is better!

See ya:)

Some books may not have sounding title but they may end having a deeper meaning.
