The year 2025 is fast ending and in a few weeks time, we’d all be in the festive mood all hyped of for the fun and what the holidays have in store for us. What’s better than the long holidays? I love the holidays and I’m sure you do too because why not.

During the season, a lot goes downs as we all know. The whole world gets busy with people travelling to visit friends and loved ones, going on vacations and what have you. Amidst all this hustle and bustle, a lot goes down which are both good and bad. Today, let’s focus on the bad and work around not falling victim to such stuff while also protecting ourselves.

First things first, it’s with no doubts that we all know that at this time of the year, the weather changes all together. In my part of the world, we have already started experiencing harmattan and this is is coupled with flu, fever and what have you due to how dry the weather is. For a time like this, the trick is to owe hydrated, wear your nose masks if you can, make sure to be in warm clothes especially when stepping out and also wash your hands frequently because you never know what you might be carrying around.

Next , let’s talk about our finances and how to save money so we don’t end up being broke at the beginning of the new year. I need not tell anyone who has been in this game for long that now is the time to start your Christmas shopping. Don’t wait till the day before Christmas before you do your shopping because the prices would give you a stroke and you’d have no option than to buy because you need to. Currently, almost all companies are running promotions on the various goods they sell and most customers are making sure to take advantage of this Black Friday sales going on. Don’t be left out, this is your chance to save money. Get whatever you need now and you’d live to thank me in a few weeks time.

Mentally, I don’t think there’s much to talk about because I expect that we all would be happy an full of joy. But hey, don’t forget to rest. You don’t have to be in the kitchen all the time. Eat out once in a while during the holidays, have a lot of sleep and relax in any way you can because the year hasn’t been easy. With these, I believe we’d all show up in the new year looking refreshed and in full spirits.

It's better to shop before any celebration so as not to buy at a more expensive price. Some spend all they have in December and start all afresh in January. It shouldn't be that way.

Very true. Some people prefer to learn the hard way.
