My Hive Business Card Design [Eng/Esp]

Hello my dear Hivers, very pleased to be here to join the contest proposed by my friend @acidyo, which is to create a business card for the Hive Philippines community @hiveph. If you want to participate, I'll leave you the rules of the contest in this link.

I'm not an expert in design, just since I started #hive I started using the Canva application to beautify the covers and make collages of my different posts, so far I like it, because it is easy to handle, and has excellent editing options. So I wanted to challenge myself, design them something simple with the tools available.


I carefully observed that they wanted a simple, elegant card, that on the front side had a universal design with respect to Hive, on the back side they wanted to include the colors of the community concerned (i.e. the country) and that in turn when wanting to apply it to the community of another country it could be done easily, and that is exactly what I tried to do.


I leave you a simple creative process since all the resources were used from the Canva application, except for the Hive logo that I already had available.

I started looking for an established and universal template for business cards, I looked for a red and black gradient background, this will be the central design that I will show you in the process since I decided to make two cards practically the same, only changing the color palette of the background, for the second one I took a black and white gradient.


I added the Hive logo, looked for elements such as lines, dots, honeycomb, QR codes, and progressively incorporated them into the design.


For the front part I took all those elements, combined them in red, white, black tones, the honeycombs I left them with their orange tones in combination with the background colors, I played with the sizes and position of the elements I used, once I had each one of them located, I added the corresponding text using different Canva fonts.


In the back I did the same process, with the only difference that I incorporated a Philippine flag, I played with the colors of the elements inspired by the flag, and placed them in different positions.


With this simple process I obtained this card made especially for the Hive Philippines community.

Hola mis queridos Hivers, muy complacida estar por acá para sumarme al concurso propuesto por el amigo @acidyo, el cual consiste en crear una tarjeta de presentación para la comunidad de Hive Filipinas @hiveph. Si desean participar les dejo las bases del mismo en este link.

No soy una experta en diseño, simplemente desde que inicié en #hive comencé a utilizar la aplicación Canva para embellecer las portadas y hacer los collages de mis diferentes post, hasta ahora me ha gustado, ya que es fácil de manejar, y tiene excelentes opciones de edición. Por ello quise retarme a mí misma, diseñarles algo sencillo con las herramientas disponibles.


Observe detenidamente que querían una tarjeta sencilla, elegante, que por la parte delantera tuviera un diseño universal con respecto a Hive, por la parte trasera se incluyeran colores de la comunidad interesada (es decir el país) y que a su vez al querer aplicarlo a la comunidad de otro país se pudiera hacer con facilidad, y exactamente fue lo que trate de realizar.


Les dejo un sencillo proceso creativo ya que todos los recursos fueron utilizados de la aplicación Canva, menos el logo de Hive que ya lo tenía disponible.

Comencé buscando la plantilla establecida y universal para tarjetas de presentación, busque un fondo degradado en rojo y negro, este va a ser el diseño central que les mostrare en el proceso ya que decidí realizar dos tarjetas prácticamente iguales, solo cambiando la paleta de colores del fondo, para la segunda tome un degradado negro y blanco.


Agregue el logo de Hive, busque elementos como líneas, puntos, panal de abejas, códigos QR, y los fui incorporando a progresivamente al diseño.


Para la parte delantera tome todos esos elementos, los combine en tonos rojos, blancos, negros, los panales los deje con sus tonalidades naranjas en combinación con los colores del fondo, jugué con los tamaños y posición de los elementos que utilice, una vez que ya tenía ubicados cada uno de ellos, le agregue el texto correspondiente utilizando diversas fuentes de Canva.


En la parte trasera realice el mismo proceso, con la única diferencia que incorpore una bandera de filipinas, jugué con los colores de los elementos inspirándome en dicha bandera, y los coloque en diferentes posiciones.


Con este sencillo proceso obtuve esta tarjeta realizada especialmente para la comunidad de Hive Filipinas.


Me siento muy complacida de haber participado en este concurso, esperando que humildemente pueda cumplir con las expectativas que desean para el diseño de su tarjeta representativa. Siempre es un honor hacer el mejor de los esfuerzos, y presentarlo con mucho cariño para mi gente de Hive, y en especial para una comunidad.
