Introduction

Today I wanted to discuss my thoughts about the card abilities of Band of The Wolf. I'm going to cover the last 19 cards. I didn't realize the order of the cards change on the website so I had to find my missing 19 which kind of made take more time than expected to write up. I also want to share my 30 packs I bought from Band Of the Wolf set and my weekend event rewards from the last weekend event #188.

20. Gama, Lord of Berries

Gama seems like a broken card to me as it's hidden and you can steal the top card from their deck to your hand. I think this will make deception interesting as they already have Cutthroat Insight. With this card, I could see Shrike Moonlighter being played. We might see a stall mill deception deck soon. For those that don't know what mill is it's basically playing to win by wiping your opponent's deck to 0 cards. Just in GU, you don't instantly lose when you run out of cards but you do lose life based on how much leftover mana gems you have. I'm rating this card a 9 out of 10.

21. Vulpine Shadowshifter

Vulpine seems super weak in my opinion. It probably needs a buff. It seems weak stat wise for 4 mana and the ability isn't that great. This card should be buffed to 3 mana in my opinion or at least have 3/4 health. I'm giving this card a 3 out of 10.

22. Automabunn

Automabunn is a cute card. I think this will create a new structure deck for magic as mentioned in part 1 of reviewing Band of The Wolf. I think this card has a lot of potential only being 1 mana and being able to give armor to a fellow structure. I want to give this card a 7 out of 10.

23. Raneko Hearthmother

Raneko Hearthmother has a lot of potential. This card is amazing for aggro light decks since they buff health of creatures and this deck focuses on havign 2 strength cards and then buffing with Asterius. I could see this comboing with holy write and you probably have a 6 attack card at turn 3 which is huge. I'm rating this card an 8 out of 10.

24. Arcane Fabrication

So Arcane Fabrication. Another card that doesn't seem too strong at a glance but what if you pair this card with divine coronet which already is a 1/1 but has an awesome ability. I'm not sure how OP this is but it feels strong if you have a strong Structure to copy. I'm giving this card an 8 out of 10.

25. iramonte, Boon Tinkerer

Giramonte seems super solid for 4 mana having armor and ward. As I said before, it depends on the structure but I could see this being a turn 4 play and the divine coronet being played the turn after. It would be hard to remove this card with the ward and armor. I wouldn't be surprised if divine coronet went up in a price since all these supporting cards are being released. I'm giving this card a 9 out of 10.

26. Aegis of the Innocent

Aegis of the Innocent seems like a solid card for aggro light. It will help trade better with that heal it for 1 but I think the star of the show is the +3 health. I feel this card is meant to combo with Argus and it will make Argus a monster card. I feel we might see some annoying aggro light decks now. I'm rating this card a 7 out of 10.

27. Great Eye's Blessing

I find it ironic how this card has blessing in the name but it doesn't have the blessed ability. Anyways I could see this being played in aggro wildfire nature decks. I'm thinking this can combo with Bladefly. This card can turn your bladefly card into three more bladefly cards into your hand. It doesn't feel super strong since there's a lot of board wipe cards nowadays. I'm giving this card a 5 out of 10.

28. Fallen Legion

Fallen Legion is a meh card. It depends on if you can get 5 or more creatures in your void and only then it will have value otherwise it's a pretty useless card eating up one space in your deck. Maybe this could be a strong aggro war deck card for lower ranks as this is a common and it will probably be really cheap to buy for free to play players. I'm giving this card a 4 out of 10.

29. Blighted Scion

Ok Blighted Scion seems like it can be used in aggro nature amazon decks. I think it's pretty good for a common card and good for free to play players. I'm rating this card a 7 out of 10.

30. Master of the Mill

For 5 mana, Master of the Mill has insane value. Great stats at 4 attack and 5 health as well as being able to give +2 health and +2 health more as you are summoning more creatures. I feel this card might need to be toned down a bit. This card will probably get hit with a nerf. I'm giving this card a 10 out of 10. There's just too much value given here at 5 mana.

31. Spiritspeaker Chime

Spiritspeaker Chime is a strong card if you can pull off the summon of four 3/3 Rancorous Spirits. I feel with all the relic removal out there now that this card isn't that great since it only starts off with 1 durability. This also costs four mana and it only gains the durability if you take damage on your turn. I feel they should also let it get durability from the opponent's turn as well and maybe this card will be more useful. I don't think this card is that great which is why I'm giving it a 1 out of 10.

32. Shalefire Hatchling

Shalefire Hatchingling seems like a meh card. I guess if someone found a way to play a loop of gaining mana and permanently playing cards and buffing this card strength enough to OTK, then this card has potential. I'm giving this card a 4 out of 10.

33. Chira, The Spiritspeaker

Chira is going to give nether zombie decks some love. I feel this will take zombies to the next level and I will definitely be hoping to have this for my zombie deck. I wonder how it's ally ability will work with Necroscepter and other cards. If it does what I think it does which is being able to proc a target destroy enemy creature when a nether is summoned, then I think this card will be super OP. I'm giving this card a 9 out of 10.

34. Perserverance

Perseverance seems like another new card giving love to zombies. I feel this card is super great and will be core to zombie decks as it's pretty much a 6/6 value at 4 mana. This is just a lot of value for 4 mana and I'm giving this card a 9 out of 10 as well.

35. Poison Dart

Poison dart will be a super solid card for control nature decks. Frenzied Ritual was a bit too random in creature removals and I think poison dart solves this as you can target the creature you want to destroy. I feel this card is super strong and I'm looking forward to adding this to my control nature deck. I'm giving this card a 10 out of 10.

36. Blood Oath Binder

Ok I thought Fallen Legion was bad but this card can actually make Fallen Legion Viable as it's already adding two Olympians into the void. This also synergizes with that new 1 mana Olympian spell that deals more damage based on Olympians in the void. This might be played in aggro Olympian decks as it also gives good utility in buffing strength. I'm giving this card an 8 out of 10.

37 Spore-Light Lantern

Spore-Light Lantern will be another card that synergizes with some of other new nethers released in this set. I think that this card will make a control deception mill deck even more viable now. I will be interested to see if this will be a meme deck or it will actually be competitive enough to play in Mythic. I'm giving this card a 7 out of 10.

38 Eiko, Undaunted Duelist

Eiko is a super strong card at 4 mana with protected and insane 5 attack and 2 health. It can also destroy your opponent's relic which is broken I feel since there's a few good relics out there. I wonder if they will ever consider giving relics ward or protected in the future. That would definitely make the game a bit more interesting. I also feel this card has OTK potential for following turn if there was a way to buff it's attack to 30. I'm sure someone will find a way. This card is a god damn 10/10 and not a surprise either since it's one of the most expensive cards in the set.

Buying Band of The Wagon Packs

As mentioned before, I planned on buying some Band of The Wagon booster packs! Let's see how it goes.

Wolf Booster Packs

Wow I got Eiko, Undaunted Duelist! So I decided to buy another 6 packs since I've got some luck.

Wow do this mean I'm getting Chira The Spiritbreaker?

Ok while opening these 6 packs. I was able to sell the Eiko for like over 116 dollars in ETH so I'm going to use this to purchase another 12 packs lol. Let's see how it goes.

Holy shit another Eiko. I'm going to put it up for sale again. If I keep pulling this I'm going to be able to get the full set for free lol.

Wow So I'm going to get Argus The Whitewall airdropped!

Ok my Eiko sold again so I'm going to buy another 12 packs. Let's go!

Lol I Got another Eiko which I'm going to sell holy to rebuy more packs. Seems like I can do to this infinitely. I'm really going to get most of this set for almost no cost + I'm getting value in all the cards.

I think I'm going to stop here but when this Eiko sells I'll keep buying more and repeating until I don't pull anything good. I've basically got back all my money and didn't really lose much. I've probably gained once these legendaries get sent to me I will probably sell the extra copies early or when the set is no longer being sold.

Crafting What I Got

Ok after buying all these packs It's time to craft and what do you know forging is still free! So we can forge all these cards at no cost. I crafted one Master of The Mill shadow, one Fae Thornblade shadow, one Bitter Ending shadow, one entrapment apparatus and one strike moonlighter shadow.

My Weekend Rewards

I got 3 epic core packs, 3 rare mortal judgement pack and 1 epic mortal judgement pack. It was a great weekend for me since I played my bread and butter nature deck. It got me 13 wins out of 18 battles! Let's see if I get anything good for this week. I'm still looking for Witherfingers from the core packs. As for mortal judgement, I'm still hoping to pull my first diamond legendary. Alright enough talking let's open these packs!

Wow I got a gold common. It's the first gold quality card I've gotten in a long time. I still can't believe after opening 100s of epic core packs that I still need to get Witherfingers. I'm also till missing some core legendaries. You can see from the picture below the cards I am missing. Let's hope I get a Witherfingers, the missing core legendaries or a diamond legendary next week!
