I just finished sharing the first day of our team's weekend getaway yesterday happened last weekend and so I'm here again to share the second day of the outing.
I wasn't able to get back to them right away the following morning because I had to take care of hubby for work and I also had to prepare them something to eat for lunch, so they temporarily had breakfast at a small restaurant near the room we rented.
After I finished
all that needs to be done at home and after I drop hubby off at work, I immediately return to the beach to deliver the food. Just then someone was selling sea urchins and they were so amazed by the fresh product that everyone immediately decided to buy and share to eat.
I admit that the urchins are very expensive even when in fact I told the lady that I'm only local, and it seems she didn't believe me 🤣. But anyway I said to myself to just never mind, I know that sometimes they also want to make good money when there are tourists.
We have finished consuming all the sea urchins and have been paid. But another woman approached us and it turned out that they had negotiated earlier about the snorkeling adventure that the woman offered. I don't know about it because I arrived late so I ask about the price and that's what they said we will go snorkeling for 150 (3$) per head for the gear. I tried to bargain because I thought it was only 100 pesos (2$) before but the woman said that it is not possible because it has a life jacket and there is a go-pro and two other guides.
My colleagues said that I should go with them and get ready because the guide is on his way. I stopped for a moment because it's just funny to think that actually even though I'm from here, I haven't really been able to formally snorkel at the beaches here 😆 so I thought I'd go ahead and maybe it'll be fun.
Of course, we need to take a picture before going on an adventure for documentation purposes but I just don't know if the quality of their camera is not good or if it's just that the guy is not really good at using it. why is the shot blurry 😅?
Meanwhile, that's it and everyone is excited (especially me) we first traveled a few meters to our first spot. The weather is good and I am comfortable this time here because there is a life jacket and there are also two guides because one of the things I fear when swimming in the sea is having muscle crumbs since way back many years ago I experienced some traumatizing moments here. While I was swimming on the same beach suddenly my leg hurt so it was hard for me to swim well causing me to almost drowned myself luckily my cousin heard me and pulled me into the shallows and I was paralyzed with pain. I was so scared that I'm very grateful to my cousin because I probably drowned if it wasn't because of her.
Anyway, moving forward to the adventure we had a great time. We first went to the first site which looks like a giant mushroom.
The second one is a coral-like chair that the guide told us to like set in it while they are taking some photos.
The third one is the one they call spaghetti 😂. For me, it's the easiest site to take a post since it's not so deep so it doesn't bother my ear to have pain when I get down underwater for some photos.
Here are also some corals that our guide captured.
The sea is really beautiful, I have no doubt why many foreigners visit our oceans here. To be honest, we had divers diving together that day which was funny because we are on the surface and they were below us which was scary to look at because it was already dark underneath. One of the things that made everyone happy was that we even saw a sea turtle that swam with the divers at the bottom, it's a pity and we didn't have the gadgets to take a photo of the sea turtle and it was too deep so our guide didn't have a chance to take a photo but it's okay at least everyone is happy to see it anyway.
Our adventure lasted for almost two hours. We had a great adventure so after we jump out of the water we immediately take a rest and took a shower and fix ourselves then we look for the guide to get the photos. Later that day we decided to prepare everyone's things since the day is almost done and all of them will be traveling back to the city to work back tomorrow. I also prepared the things which I brought there for us to use. When everything is ready everyone took some pictures for the last time and others also bought some souvenirs and after we settled everything the things and the payments we decided to head back to the bus station to go home but I stayed because I still have enough time since my work starts at 11 pm in the following day so I want to satisfy the time and decide to head back tomorrow afternoon.
It's so fun and unexpected that I can finally go on snorkeling 😂. But I admit that my body hurts after that... Now it's Monday again its the beginning of the work day for the whole week. I hope it can be repeated from time to time to unwind again. Gotta take a sleep now for the later shift.
And those were the two days we spent our little weekend getaway. For those who take the time to read thank you so much, I hope you can visit my beautiful hometown one day.😘
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍

Want to have your post on the map too?
Very fun diving, but I didn't see any fish, only saw coral
Haha, there were fishes that time but most show up was those tiny ones. Our guide has a camera also we can not take good photos of those small fishes 😰.
What a great experience you had. I love snorkelling and have done a lot on the Great Barrier Reef...It's amazing what is down there.
Thank you.. It's really beautiful underneath. I don't know why I just realized that snorkeling is good. Back then I could have worked at a dive shop, why didn't I think of where we could borrow gear for free. Maybe it's because I'm afraid of water that's why I don't think about it. 😅
Yeah, water can be a little daunting, as can be the creatures in it. Still, snorkelling is a lot of fun and I hope you have many more adventures.
Thank you. Hopefully 🙏.
