Hello everyone. Colorful topics come from @galenkp this weekend. For this week's #weekend-engagement I chose a green topic because I love green and I like to remember places where green made me happy and peaceful.
The green weekend
Share only two photos that focus on the colour green and write at least 300 words in explanation. It can be anything at all, but the main colour in your two images has to be green. Tell us about the place and situation, when it was and what you were doing there. You have to use your own images though.
Nowadays, having your own piece of greenery is real wealth, especially if you live in a big city where the air is polluted and difficult to breathe. Due to my allergy issues with city weeds, I spend my weekends on Tara mountain where I have a piece of land. Tara is one of the few mountains in Serbia where nature is preserved and where you can enjoy clean air and the aromatic smell of mountain herbs and forests.
Greenery relaxes. It is enough for me to look at the cherry tree growing in my greenery and to feel very calm.
This tree keeps memories, plans, and fulfilled and unfulfilled wishes and as long as it is there I will be calm. Life is unpredictable and you never know what will happen in the next moment, so you should spend your time in the right places, where you feel calm and happy.
Every time I come to that meadow, I start to breathe. Not only in the physical sense but also mentally. I start to breathe more relaxed and put my worries aside to wait for some new occasion to overwhelm me. Everyone needs a space where they can breathe freely. And it's true when they say green relaxes. After staying at this place, I feel like a new person, more relaxed and happier.
We were there a few weeks ago. We had a great weekend. My six-year-old son was planning what kind of log cabin he would build in the meadow. 😊 I love hearing his plans. He is a lover of Tara mountain, just like me and like my father used to be. I am happy that we share a love for nature.
And the cherry tree brings us together. That's why I'm happy that it's there. It is a witness of everything we achieved and everything we wanted and want to achieve. And it makes our life sweet, especially when we pick the fruits.
My son is also there among the leaves, it's hard to spot him in all that greenery, but he's there, very happy and excited because he climbed a tree for the first time. 😊
Little things make life. Sometimes the most ordinary moments are the most precious.
Thank you very much for reading and have a great and colorful Sunday.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
Jelena
Very nice!
I still need to find courage, and a spot to plant my first tree. Cherry is my favorite, but planning for sweet chestnut to be my first. Oh the jowy from climbing first tree's
Rawr!
Oh I love sweet chestnut! I will think about planting it too.😊 I hope that you will soon find the perfect spot to realize your plan. 😊
Oh it's my first time to see a cherry tree. Cherry is seldom to be found here in Philippines and me personally can only found them in canned fruit cocktail and as toppings on cakes. It's quite pricey here. Anyway, that cherry tree is like a connection for you and your son @jelenaa. It is also a connection between you and nature.
Yes, that tree connects us and at the same time connects us with nature. You said it nicely. Thanks. 🤗 I know you don't grow cherries in the Philippines, but that's why you have beautiful coconuts and mangoes that we hardly find here. 😊
Yes we really have a lot of coconuts because they can be found everywhere. Mangoes have a lot too but coconuts is more numerous than mangoes
Yes greenery are so essential.
Trees especially. They offer fresh air, shades and even bear fruits! I’m definitely adding Tara to my bucket list, I’d love to feel this famous calmness and forest air.
Haha it was hard but I did spot your son lol
Hahaha I know it was hard to spot him. 😀 Tara is indeed a beautiful mountain and the nature there is amazing, it is worth a visit.
I too need to spend a weekend in a beautiful park like this with my son. nice park and great photos.
Yay! 🤗
