You see once I was a very cute cuddly baby, not a grumpy old fucker that I am now, but with age comes knowledge and experience and the skill set to see through the control agenda of the global cock sucking elite.
Oh hang on wrong community. Deep Dive is Sunday
Start again.
"Share a photograph of yourself as a young kid and explain what you loved about your childhood and also what you didn't like. Your own photos are essential."
What did I not like about growing up? My mother. A very controlling bitter woman, I guess it didn't help when I nearly killed my brother when he was 4 and I was 10, I was never forgiven really.
Wasn't my fault! Father should not have sent us into the garden to play so he could fall asleep watching fucking songs of praise on sunday night TV.
Didn't like him much either tbh. Both dead now, years ago; loved me(?) in death as in life through the wallet, I guess I am grateful for my inheritance, but a hug would have counted for me as a youngster.
I know through their crap parenting that I grew up the complete opposite with my two kids, never once physically assaulted them ( that is what parental smacking is, yes?).
Never left their company, and still don't with out hugging them and telling them I love them. In private or public I don't care. Unconditional love.
They have both turned out ok, daughter is a senior lecturer at Wrexham University and son is an Executive chef and operations manager at a group of hotels and restaurants across N Wales.
Me? Im just a grumpy old bugger enjoying life to the max, as is my baby bro, still going strong decades later!
Now what did I love?
I guess crap parenting made me a rebel,I did stuff, I took up smoking 'n drinking and living my life my way.
Oh! and enjoying jiggy jiggy ( grateful it wasn't with some crackhead behind the local supermarket where you could chance getting a dose of the clap for as little as a bottle of white lightning cider and 20 fags) with the young girl I was to marry, ( thank you Saturday night baby sitting at her sisters, oh lord have mercy) all is well that ends well.
Though alas she is dead now too.
Life is what you make it, you only get one , coz this ain't no rehearsal.
Go to the eternal darkness regretting the things you have done; rather than rueing the opportunities you missed.
I regret nothing.
Wow, this resonated! All of it! I remember those prams and grainy black and white photographs (I have my own set) and the parenting culture that went with them.
Pleased you and your brother made it and found your own way in the world. So lovely you met your wife and have your own wonderful relationship with your children.
I think you're an exception as many growing up while experiencing crap parenting, become crap parents themselves and take what they got as kids out on their kids. I don't really understand this behavior because they did not like what they had to endure, yet they are doing the same.
Well I never!! The grumpy old git is actually a big softie underneath!!
Here's a bear hug to make up for what you the lil grindle missed
I was pretty lucky with my parents and they are still around. Some people flourish despite a bad start. My kids have turned out well, so I must have done something right.
You were cute :)
I'd say it's fine like this because that's why you are who you are and it's also great like this. I don't want another @grindle on this earth, you're the best. 👌🏻📷☕
You are the spatula I needed to get my bike out and hit the streets (again because yesterday I was doing so). Thank you.
