I am one of those who wake up in the early morning to see the children in their room to go to the bathroom or eat a snack. Even to go to the refrigerator to get some water.
Getting up and not tripping over something with my feet is very difficult. Yes, I tend to trip over everything when I get up in the early morning when everything is dark. Turning on the light is not an option.
It has occurred to me on occasion to place lamps on the nightstand in each room, but the problem is getting the switch to turn them on. And that I have looked for them with easy ignition.
So with this problem, almost every night is torture for my feet or legs that get the shock by the furniture and besides that, I wake up someone in the family by my scream of pain.
It has happened to me that I have taken some furniture in front of me in the dark and I hit it with my little toe. That is a pain that I do not wish on anyone, it hurts so much that it even brings tears to my eyes.
So all this has led me to look for solutions that have not given me satisfaction as in the case of the lamps.
That is why I have come up with the idea of inventing a bedside table that turns on with a white or iridescent light that points to the floor and is not perceived by the sleeper. This light would turn on when I put my foot on the floor; that is when I get up.
The top of the bedside table would be an OLED screen that would be totally waterproof and with the goodness of the Touch screen.
Now, the touch screen is because the bedside table will serve as a digital alarm clock, and even as a cell phone for emergency dialing of pre-set numbers.
The light of the screen would be so dim that it would only be perceived by the person who gets up, so as not to disturb the other person in case you live in a couple.
As mentioned before, it would have a light that points to the floor, so that there is no possibility of tripping.
In the children's room, we can place another one that with a sensor would point towards the entrance of the room so that when I come to check on the children, the table would light up with the same system, illuminating the path to the children's bed.
Now you may be wondering, when would these lights go out?
That would happen when I flick a switch. The shutoff would be timed to allow time for the room to exit.
Another thing this nightstand would have would be two small water tanks. One for cold water and one for hot water.
The first to dispense water to quench thirst and the other to have water for some tea or infusion, avoiding having to go to the kitchen.
This type of table could be placed throughout the house according to the functions you want to give it.
Please tell me that I am crazy for this invention or a genius. I will be totally sympathetic to your comments and opinions.

I like this idea and I am sure that this particular wavelength of light is available. My suggestion is to make it activated by movement via a PIR. What do you think?

Yes, I think it is excellent, it can be perfected and the idea is very viable because everything already exists, the lights, the intelligence system for communications and the sensors for the activation of lights and so on.
It just needs to be put together and marketed.

Inventions, projects begin with an idea that most of the times tends to change. Hence it is possible that if this I have raised becomes viable, it will surely have many differences to this idea presented.

I thought stubbing my big toe hurt until I stubbed my little one. Jesus... you feel that ish even in your heart. I am all for this invention if it addressed knees also. That seems to be what I am always bumping against stuff.
