Hunting and shutting down scammers.

The last few weeks of work have been interesting. We seen an incredible spike of fraud in many different forms. This is kind of new for me and I haven’t dealt much with it so I’m learning a lot.

we hired a couple people to help as well. They have a lot of good insight for us and I’ve helped us understand kind of the mindset of someone who’s trying to scam others and scam our business.

as we’ve gone through an ordered from some of the fraudsters on eBay and Amazon, it’s fascinating how they handle customer service how they handle shipping how they handle all the different aspects of this order. They really just want to get paid. They need to show something delivered for the I believe. They are never going to send you what you ordered.

here is one tactic that we came across. We’ve actually seen this one a couple different orders. They send something with a tracking number in that they give you a piece of candy and a note that says thank you. Please see below.

Sometimes I wonder if Amazon eBay even try to shut these guys down. I think part of the problem is they open new stores so fast that it’s hard to track everything. We’ve seen some sellers that have the same note and deliver the same piece of candy. Others have different notes and deliver, an apology letter for the delay. I think they’re just waiting until they get paid out from Amazon so that they make sure they get their money before you complain.

I still have a lot to learn, but we’re getting there and we’re shutting things down
