While I have written about the lunch on the Real Time Hive (RTH) project soon, I am advancing step by step with the logistics of it. And one of the things that needed to be put in place was to create a dedicated Hive account for the project. While I am one of those that are claiming free accounts tickets like crazy (Hive Keychain - Claim free account tickets for seamless onboarding), I will be able to create a hive account for this purpose at zero cost. And I just did that and the official account for the Real Time Hive (RTH) project is @realtimehive.
Why do I need an official Hive account for the Real Time Stats on the Hive blockchain project? Well, while I might not need to do any transaction from the project (still this is to be defined), I would use the account for different purposes. Here are some of them.
Transfer and Exchange of Cryptocurrency
I will be able to transfer or exchange cryptocurrency like HIVE or HBD to support the project in any way that is needed to cover costs or other activities or initiatives around it. I just transferred 10 HIVE to the @realtimehive account to get it started.
Power Up Hive
In case of doing transactions on the Hive blockchain, Hive needs to be powered up. So that incoming 10 HIVE went right away and was powered up into 10 Hive Power. This will be used for any needed transaction on the blockchain.
Delegate Hive Power
In case someone wants to support the project, he/she can either Delegate Hive Power or Transfer Hive to the official project account. Developing eats time, sometimes it requires external support for more complex things, thus having a way to support the project financially is one thing that will be required as things grow up.
Create and Curate Content
The project will engage with the community and Hive users through different articles and curation will be needed to support engagement. Thus the Hive account will be used for this purpose.
That's about all the reasons that I have thought now that justify having a Hive account for the Real Time Hive (RTH) project. I am sure that there are others as well and while the project will progress and those will reveal themselves, I would add them to the grand scheme of it all. Growing a project is not easy, so having the right pillars put in place is mandatory to ensure sustainability. I am trying to build something that is self funding itself with the support of Hive community and its users. If that will be enough only time will tell, but that's the plan.

Yeah, things still in the making and preparations. I have a running model on my PC and soon will get it on some hosting site, need to prepare the infrastructure for it. But will keep everyone posted on how things evolve. Thanks for passing by!
