Ghostbusters Afterlife, resurrecting a franchise

1 Ghostbusters: Afterlife

After 2016 the whole franchise looked like it had been completely killed
by the clown Paul Feig.
I wanted to post a picture of Paul Feig as he dressed up as a clown, but somehow that has been scoured
from the internet, but I promise he did on video on youtube.

Now however there are movements in the franchise, Co-Producer Dan Akroyd has been wanting to make a Ghostbusters 3 for a long time, to follow after the original two, and not another reboot. This means everything from the first 2 movies actually happened, and is not in a strange limbo state where it maybe happened but in that case left no mark on the world, as it was portrayed by the 2016 disaster. As far as I can tell this movie will follow a group of kids including parents I assume who inherits an old building set far from everything else, when they then discover that it was owned by one of the original ghostbusters, and there is equipment there to fight ghosts.

I think this is a much better way to continue the story, instead of deciding to both burn down the original franchise, and use it for advertisements and using brand recognition to carry your movie. Now I have no idea what the ghost villain will be like, but right now that does not really matter, I mostly would just like to have the ghostbusters franchise back as a strong comedy franchise.

1.1 Cast

I have no idea about the cast, so I cannot give any thoughts on this.

1.2 Hope

I would very much like a movie that can wipe the bad taste of 2016 away, so we can just have a fun time with ghostbusters again.

1.3 Anticipation

I am excited to see what this will turn out to be.
