^{Hello motherhood moms and dads, today I want to introduce you to a fun homemade tool to teach children to add and subtract, will you join me?}

^{I always tell you in my maternity posts that I spend my time reading information and techniques to improve or have a healthy and functional upbringing for us, Luna and me, I came across a super cool idea that I had to try with Luna. It was a homemade tool for the kids to practice addition and subtraction in a fun, interactive way that makes it easier for them to do their math.}

^{I had everything I used at home, I did not buy anything at all, of course it is worth mentioning that I am a person who keeps things that I know Luna may need for school crafts, my partner always claims that I am a garbage hoarder hahaha, but I know I will need them to make crafts and so we recycle, then, every cardboard or plastic that I know I can use I keep it.}

^{The first thing to do is to trace your child's hands on the cardboard, then cut them out, make a shallow cut in the middle of the fingers so that they can bend inwards, cut out small squares of magic zipper and glue on the tip of each finger of the little hands, on the finger and on the base of the hand where the finger bends (it is worth mentioning hehe), I didn't have a magic zipper at home so, instead, I used a paper strip which is easier to glue and peel off (it was what I had, so I solved with that hehe). Now, on the other hand, cut out a rectangle of cardboard of the size you want, there go the numbers, so you can calculate more or less how much space you will need. For example, I used a little big piece of cardboard because Luna goes for 3-digit additions and subtractions, so I took into account how much space I would need.}

^{Then with the white glue stick the little hands on top of the cardboard base, one in each corner, cut out 6 small squares where the numbers will go, stick under the little hands, 3 little squares, 3 rows, that would be: two rows for the numbers to be calculated and one row for the result, between the hands place another cardboard square to write the sign, that is, the plus (+) or minus (-), so that the child can identify that he is calculating, and to finish in the boxes where the numbers go small transparent adhesive tape, so that you can write on it with acrylic marker and can be easily erased with a tissue and we are ready.}

^{I gave details to the little hands, like the nails and painted them to make them look fun haha, in the base of the cardboard I used a notebook lining paper that I had left from school and that's how it was, I had to do the test with the lady and we got down to work, here I attach a video of how it went.}

^{The truth is that Luna loved the tool, usually Luna is very bored doing math, when she made a mistake and I erased the error she started to cry because she had to start again, it was frustrating and making this tool helped her a lot, because I can put many accounts and she does not even claim to me that there are many because she has fun using her fingers and she also likes the action of erasing with the handkerchief, she has overcome the practice of addition and subtraction, I feel happy haha and so does she.}
