Working On New Art ..

Is sometimes fun and can also be frustrating at times. During the creative process, lots of thoughts and feelings can go through ones mind. Stuff like "Is this any good?" or "Oh wow this is exciting" and even "Why did I ever decide to create art? Nothing ever comes out the way I want it to." If I think about my thoughts as a collection, I do believe that the good thoughts definitely outweigh the bad ones. If they didn't, I really should be looking for a new hobby.

So this new experimental art I am working on is another unique combination of photography and digital art. I took a photo of my own shadow a long time ago, and have been manipulating the heck out of it. I like the way it looks, like an old man with a cane.. wait! That sounds like me! lol. I like creating a vector graphic of this shadow and placing it into other works, like the one below.

The above is a photo I took of a leafless tree during last winter. I removed most of the background and then reflected or mirrored the one side to create a more symmetrical image. I made a few other adjustments then started to add me old man graphic. I duplicated him too. Now two old men! And then made them as if they are shaking hands.

Still a work in progress, but should be interesting to see where this goes.
