A few hours ago, I went to the chicken coop to throw away some leftovers and since it is Wednesday, I took my camera with me to take a few pictures for one more #wednesdaywalk challenge, hosted by @tattoodjay :)
It turned out that I took more than a few pictures but that's what happens when I haven't touch my camera for many days!
First of all was the feeding of my feathered friends, I wouldn't want to keep them waiting! And right after it was a stop to my favourite tree, for this time of the year and my feeding :)
The mulberry trees have been given us their fruits for many weeks by now and every single time I go to the coop, I pay my respects to this particular one and end up with red hands, like I have murdered someone :)

The olive trees are just everywhere, so it is practically impossible to avoid them. There are a lot of fruits on the trees right now but there are four more months ahead, before harvesting time and the critters and the weather will destroy a part of them, hopefully not too many.
As I was leaving I did some snooping at a neighbour's vegetable garden, were things seem to be evolving beautifully. Green beans, okras and tomatoes drew my attention and I captured a few shots of them, overcoming the desire to just pick them up and go away :)

The location of the coop is between the sea (pic above) and the village (pic below). Both directions give you a splendid view, at least into my eyes :)
Obviously I had to walk uphill, in order to return home, something not particularly pleasant in the middle of the day, during the summer. But we have some a north breeze that that makes the air cooler than usual and there is always the shadow of a big carob tree to catch my breath and rest a bit!
At this turn of the route, I get the chance to enjoy my favourite rock and take a better look at the new constructions by the sea. Villas seem to grow faster than olive trees down there!
A couple more seconds of delay for a macro shot and off we go uphill again. Only a few hundred meters left!
And here is the main road, the village and our colourful tavern. Some times I am so glad to see them :)
As I mentioned before it was the middle of the day. You probably know that people around the Mediterranean tend to have a nap at this time, the so called siesta. Well let me tell you that the same applies for their pets and as hard as this cat was trying to greet me, it was impossible to keep her eyes open :)

The last pictures are from the village itself. I know that the sun in the noon, especially during the summer, is harsh and not ideal for photography. But I have associated this light with vacation so much that I can't help it but love it!

And of course there should always be a flower #alwaysaflower :)
Thank you for reading and if you want to know more about me you can check out my introduction post.
Commenting, upvoting and rebloging are highly appreciated!
#alwaysaflower. I need to use that too. I am drawn to the flowers! That purple macro shot is great. So great to see your village and your views!
Thank you very much Sara! It is not the most amazing place in the world but I like it :)
Thanks for the reminder that I need tomatoes. Great shots by the way.
Tomatoes are essential for a successful summer, we should never forget them :)
Thank you for stopping by!
Beautiful… and what a walk to feed the chickens. It’s hard uphill in the middle of the day. I so know… it is hot 🥵
Take care and enjoy the views 👋🏻🤩☀️ Have a great Wednesday further!
Thank you very much @littlebee4 :)

Loved that potted geranium!
I am particularly pleased for that. It is from our house :)
I love the variety you share with us on this walk, from those amazing views, the beautiful details of nature and then stroll through the town I loved it all
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Thanks a lot, I had no specific subject, so it was a little bit of everything :)
I know you often like to have a subject in mind but sometimes its nice to go with the flow and see what catches your eye :)
Dear @fotostef, sorry to jump in a bit off topic but may I ask you to support the HiveSQL proposal?
It lost its funding recently and your help would be much appreciated to keep the HiveSQL service free for the Hive community.
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency,
Thank you for your support!
It is done. I hope it helps!
Yes, it definitely helps! Thank you for your support @fotostef, really appreciate it! 👍
