Getting in Shape

I often times watch fitness videos online and most times, I find myself imagining that my body is as built as those fitness guys I watch on YouTube because the truth is that I've always wanted to have a well built body, you know, a body with the full package (broad chest, chiseled abs and all of the good stuff).

Unfortunately, we can't just wake up and find ourselves in a body of our choice, we all have to work hard in exercising our body to at least have half of those features some of these guys do.

But you see, that's my problem. The fact that I have to wake up in the morning, do some exercises by lifting some weights, all of that discourages me and that is because I'm lazy. I'm really not a morning person, so I hate it when I'm forced out of bed before 10am or 12pm.

I remember going to one of the gyms in the area some time last year, because I had thought to myself that maybe registering for the gym with my hard earned money would be a good motivation for me to get up every morning and go lift some weights. Well I ended up not registering because at the time, I felt it was too expensive (it was expensive but it wasn't something I couldn't afford if I really wanted to), so I had gone back home.

On my way back home, I had made a promise to myself to at least always lift the dumbbells we had at home, a promise I had kept for the next three days or thereabout, before I stopped again. If you ask me what the problem is, I do think it's laziness but aside from being lazy, I just feel like I haven't gotten the right motivation yet to want to look fit. Don't get me wrong, but it's not like I'm out of shape or something, no I'm not fat, I just don't have those extra features that the guys who go to the gym do.

I guess I just have to think of some really good motivations on why I should always lift some weights, I think those are what I need to get myself more dedicated to this cause because I really do need those six packs and broad chest and every other thing that comes with the full package, I just have to put in the work first.

its so funny, half of your story matches with mine. But the difference is once I paid the fees in gym just thinking that for the sake of money, I would get regular for Gym but I was wrong, I just hit Gym couple of days and then stopped, too much of laziness is dangerous lol
Now, I have made my mind that I won't join gym until I do some exercise at home continuously for a week. and here I am, not going Gym for last 5 years lol
Well, I think we need to get better in decision making than motivation.

Well for some reason I do feel like if I spend my hard earned money to register for the gym, that would be all the motivation I need because I wouldn't want it going to waste.
