Cathedral Grove

Photos from Day 2 of our Vancouver Island vacation. An amazing boardwalk takes us around “Cathedral Grove”, a place that is famous for its ancient old Douglas Fir trees and their jurassic like sizes! Incredible. Being the landlubber like I am, we are not used to seeing such gigantic trees; makes you feel like a grasshopper in comparison. Some of them trunks were just massive. So far our day 2 was off to a good start, with the exception of the wrongs turns I made on the way here lol. Thanks for stopping by.

Those coastal trees can make you feel small, that's for sure. The giant redwoods are amazing and make you realize just how small we are as humans. Then you imagine the universe and the trillions of galaxies and that we live on a grain of dust in the outer arm of a smaller galaxy the Milky Way...

That second picture is awesome, such a twisted mess of what looks like roots. It belongs in a horror film! Great find... Great shots and it's always fun to visit someplace like that's so foreign to your usual stomping grounds!

Blows my mind every time I think about the universe!

Not my usual stomping grounds yes. The change of pace was so welcome. Thanks for stopping by.

The second one is so strange, it's like all branches collapsed on themselves and formed a tree, I've never seen something like that

Yes very unusual. Not even sure if it was part of a tree root or something like that.

Has a magical feel to it, especially with the structure of the tree trunk. So much greenery all over the place :)

Kind of like a fantasy forest with all them gigantic trees!

Nature never runs out of ideas for its creations. The second image is truly extraordinary. The presence of moss creates a magical atmosphere.

Indeed, no two pictures are exactly alike. Love nature!

Nice pictures as well, ride on dear ♥️👍.

Thank you.

Your welcome dear ♥️.
