I'm very proud of my teenagers students and of my friend teacher Nancy Maita!
Ministry of Education, every year create a student challenge in English or other languages. Each high school has to participate with something creative like a play, song, game, oral presentation, etc.
The student challege has three steps. First, the competition is in the campus, second, the winners have to compete with the others high schools of the zone. Finally, the students have to compete with all the high schools of the state.
This year, the teacher Nancy and I wrote a play, a conversation between students, from 3rd year and 5th year. They were 12 students. The theme was about the importance of learning languages,values, and love for Venezuela and family.
Our students rehearsed a lot, they learned by heart. It was a very good play.The group of students performanced as they came back to Venezuela from different countries, after a year studying abroad in a student exchange program, they learned English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese. At the airport, the conversation was very funny and emotive because they met each other and joined their family. They were the winners to represent San Juan Parish in Caracas.
Last Thursday 9, we were asked to go to Pablo Vila high school, only 2 students and 2 teachers, in order to show the knowledge and abilities that the students have in English language.
It was a great experience, the students talked about Venezuela is the best country in the world, the importance of values, the importance of learning English, they made a contest and one of the witness (authority of the Ministery of Education) won the prize. We had a really good time,
We are waiting for our certificates.
I told my students: Don't forget this day, when you were older you are going to remind this day as a wonderful day. You are the winners!

Estoy muy orgullosa de mis estudiantes adolescentes y de mi amiga la profesora Nancy Maita.
El Ministerio de Educación, cada año crea un reto estudiantil en inglés u otros idiomas. Cada escuela tiene que participar con algo creativo como una obra de teatro, una canción, un juego, una presentación oral, etc.
El desafío estudiantil tiene tres pasos. En primer lugar, el concurso se realiza en el plantel educativo, en segundo lugar, los ganadores tienen que competir con los demás planteles de la zona. Por último, los estudiantes tienen que competir con todas los planteles ganadores del estado.
Este año, la profesora Nancy y yo escribimos una obra de teatro, una conversación entre estudiantes de 3º y 5º año. Eran 12 estudiantes. El tema era sobre la importancia de aprender idiomas, el grupo de estudiantes actuó como si regresaran a Venezuela después de un año estudiando en otros países en un intercambio estudiantil, aprendieron inglés, francés, portugués, ruso y chino. En el aeropuerto la conversación fue muy divertida y emotiva porque se encontraron y se unieron a su familia.
Nuestros alumnos ensayaron, aprendieron de memoria. Fue una obra muy buena. Fueron los ganadores para representar a la Parroquia de San Juan en Caracas.
El pasado jueves 9, nos pidieron ir al liceo Pablo Vila, solo 2 estudiantes y 2 profesores, para mostrar los conocimientos, las habilidades que tienen los alumnos en inglés. Fue una gran experiencia, los estudiantes hablaron de que Venezuela es el mejor país del mundo, la importancia de los valores, la importancia de aprender inglés, hicieron un concurso y uno de los testigos (autoridad del Ministerio de Educación) ganó el premio. Lo pasamos muy bien.
Estamos esperando nuestros certificados. Les dije a mis discentes: No olviden este día, cuando sean mayores recordarán este día como un día maravilloso. ¡Ustedes son ganadores!
Qué fino esto! hacen falta espacios para practicar desde que se comienza a aprender... por mi lado, espero mi reto teacher! jajaja
