Meet MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN: The dreading Splinterlands Flying monsters with Magic attack

Yesterday while engaging in a battle, I got the worst hit by my enemy team. This was orchestrated by just one monster known as MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN that crushed my team to nothingness. Here is the link to the battle. I had to look up my previous battles which featured the same monster and the outcome was always devastating on my team. I got interested in the monster and will start to be using it. Meanwhile, I had a lookup on the dreading monster unit with huge stats and Magic attack element.

Meet MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN

From the above screenshot, MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN was at the second position of its team. My first attack killed the leading monster and MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN advanced. The summoner the enemy used increased MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN's speed and attack count.

By the third round, MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN had already destroyed all but one of my monsters. It finally destroyed the entire team with one heart left on it as shown below.

MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN as a magic attack character. According to Splinterlands gameplay guide, characters with magic attack may do damage from any row. Not only that, this form of attack ignores the defender’s Armor STAT (damage is applied directly to health). There is no miss chance. It always hits.

By-passing the defender's armor is the very terrific strength of the magic attack character. Coupled with the fact that it can take out as much as 3 Hearts form the defender is another big blow on the enemy team.

For me, MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN is a dreading monster character that should be utilized to win battles. However, MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN is prone to attack by all enemy monsters but with its lieutenants such as life booster characters, it can be preserved for as long as possible in the battle.

Splinterlands battle is fun so far with a great deal of stuffs to learn and strategies to implement. I'm yet to find out the best combination for MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN's best performance. It's obvious it has become one of my best splinterlands battle monsters. Let's see what unfolds in the coming days as I start terrorizing my enemies with the magic-bound MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN.
