I don't think my friend was pathetic, but she was just blind and lost and now she sees. And I am glad she had that change of mindset and revelation that she is worth more than the terrible life situations she was in.Thank you so much @utymarvel, however I wouldn't quite use the word "pathetic" because the devil has his way of manipulating minds to making people feel worthless and worthy only of death, so we should try and be as sensitive as possible around this topic. I would probably use the word "unfortunate" or "saddening" or "troublesome"
