What The End Of Infinity Looks Like | Chaos Legion x General Sloan

in Splinterlandslast year

Ever wondered how the end of a looped battle looks like? That is what I witnessed a few hours back.

This gameplay portrays a small mana battle but with a catch, all monsters would have the magic reflect ability.

From a choice of 4 major summoners, I chose Thaddius Brood. A level 2 card. I got this card to level 2 because I didn’t know that I could’ve bought the gold foil version of it, a blunder of a rookie. And, got the main attraction of this summoner, the Cursed Windeku, to level 4, without gold foil🤦.

The mana cap was 13. I got the level 2 Windeku, Carrion Shade, and the Undead Badger.

The Windeku is actually at level 6 and does not have the full extent of it’s ability. Regardless, it had a +1 HP and that’s what saved me in the end.

I haven’t touched the Carrion Shade and Undead Badger, they are still at level 1.

Opposition

The first position was hoarded by Venari Crystalsmith. This monster didn’t attack but had the ability to heal the monster on the first position.

The monsters in the back were a Stitch Leech, level 3. The Gargoya was also a level 3.

The Celestial Harpy was a level 2 card, it only had it’s attack potential(the blue dot 🔵) increased by 1 from the standard point.

Rounds Of Engagement

The first round didn’t have all that action, the overall HP of all monsters decreased by only a little.

My Windeku’s attacks continued to be useless as each round the Crystalsmith would just self heal, my other monsters were gone by the second round.

Both the Leech and Harpy has had their taste of Windeku, the thorn pricked them good. This is where you kinda know that the game was either gonna end soon, with me winning, or them losing.

This was the turning point of the game. The monsters with the opportunity traits are gone and we’ve successfully entered the circle. Almost like the equation: (x+1)/2 where if x is even then we do not add 1 and just divide it by 2. Result, it keeps on repeating on 2 and 1.

The loop has started. The Windeku hits the doggo, she heal herself, the Gargoyo remained still and that’s how the round went.

After 21 rounds, we get to the point where the monsters take a -2 Hp on health as they are fatigued by doing all the cat and mouse chase. All parties took the final damage at the 22nd round before the opposition ran out of HP.

In the end, I and most of you now know that monsters with the most HP control the show in these cases.
