Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 143

in Amazing Nature3 months ago

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 143rd round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

Last weekend, we went to explore the famous Brevnov Monastery here in Prague, Czech Republic and while the monastery itself was really amazing and you can surely expect a post about it here on my Hive blog soon, I actually also enjoyed the nearby park with this picturesque little lake called Marketa. It was mostly cloudy that day but I waited for this shiny moment when the sun peeked through the clouds to light up the lake scenery and this is what I got :) Pretty happy with the result. Image taken in front of the monastery in the afternoon last Saturday.

In the last round, we had 12 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

Hi @phortun, this is my first entry for this contest, this photo I took earlier while visiting a café in the mountainous area of my area, the ongoing rainy season may be the main cause of the formation of this beautiful fog, the fog seems to envelop almost the entire mountainous area and succeeds in creating an extraordinary natural beauty. This is some other pictures that I also got in the same location, and in the next post I will also share some other moments that also concern about nature, that's all and thank you, I took this photo Saturday afternoon on 2022-11-05 in D'Ground Puncak Kopi, Aceh, Indonesia.

Hi, this photo is from today, at a small river called Mauerbach close where I live in Vienna, Austria. I like that it has so many different views during it´s way until he merges to the bigger "Wienfluss". And of course each season has it´s special charme.

Congratulations to @onlavu for the stunning photograph of the sea of clouds and to @gornat for the lovely photo of the flower and butterfly. Thank you @phortun for initiating this wonderful weekly photo challenge. Here's my entry for this week's round from the beautiful country Philippines. I took this photo in Siaton, Negros Oriental yesterday. This is located in a secluded area and there are 2 ways to get there. The easiest way is to ride a pumpboat however, we left no option as there's no available boat who can convey us to turtle island. We took the other way where we walk around 2 kilometers to get there. Since we don't have a choice of course we walked. It's not that far but enough to get us sweat. I was curious how this turtle island looks like. Is it nice? I asked myself but when we arrived at the area the scenery didn't disappoint me. It is like a little paradise. The place is quiet and if you're seeking tranquility, I'm sure you can find it here.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 143

Good evening @phortun

Your photo is a wonderful contribution to this contest🥰

On Sunday, I walked to a viewpoint located on Vršački breg. Near the town of Vršac (Banat, Serbia)...
From this rock you can see the Banat Plain, a little foggy... When it's a clear day, you can see the Krapatis, which are located in Romania...😊

Have a nice evening ✨

Amazing view, thanks for showing us another lovely place from your country Suzana! :)

Thank you very much @phortun 🥰
My pleasure 🤗🌸

Hello Sir @phortun
This is my first entry to your challenge.

I love this view up in the sky when I visited my hometown. I am nkw living in the city butbI was born in the mountain. Everytime I went home, I mesmerized the place most especially that I lost my parent already. The more, it reminds me how they love me.

Taken in Bohol Philippines!

That´s some epic view, love the low angle :) Thanks! When did you take the picture please? (to be sure it´s not older than 7 days)

Im so sorry , I didn't know that I have to post a 7 days old photo.. I found it in my gallery long time ago. Im so sorry and I need to read all the rules first before I join. So bad. Never mind my entry todaynand better luck next time.😔🙏

No problem, you will know next time ;) Oh and thanks for being honest, I appreciate it!

For this round I share a meadow near The Hague, The Netherlands I took a picture of this morning when I was cycling to work.

Stunning scenery, thanks man! :)

Congratulations to all the winners!

Hi @phortun, this is my entry for this week.

20221109_144637.jpg

This was taken last Wednesday afternoon in Valencia, Negros Oriental, Philippines. I was on duty that day however, the power supply was out in the afternoon and the generator didn't function well so my boss let me go home early and it was so perfect as my friend invited me to go with her in Casaroro Falls.

That was my second time in Casaroro Falls but I still wanted to keep coming back because of its stunning beauty. Here's one of my photos while I was in the wilderness.

Another amazing place from your beautiful country, thank you! :)

Hi @phortun,

Before its to late, I would like to share with you my latest amazing nature in my garden. I am living in a desert but how amazingly happened to have a garden like this. I will let you say if it is great or not? I took this yesterday noon while picking up some vegetable.

How I thank God for He blessed my flowers and blooms from the lower side then up above.

Thank you,
@olivia08 of Saudi Arabia

Hey Olivia! Thank you very much for his unusually lush and colorful greeting from Saudi Arabia! :)

Welcome @phortun! Happy Thursday!

For my entry: The majestic Casaroro waterfalls in Valencia, Philippines. It is considered to be the most photographed waterfall in the entire Negros province with an impressive height of 100 feet tall. It was an unplanned trip the other day with my sister and a friend. It only takes 30 minutes drive from home and because I am so fascinated when it comes to waterfalls , I've visited here many times.

Wow! The power of water is just fascinating :) Thank you for this amazing entry.

Nothing special within the last 7 days. This is from a walk through a foggy forest in Vienna, next to a shopping centre, in the nowhereland between the mall and a highway.
IMG-8322.jpg

Thank you, looks pretty wild and pristine for a place that is located next to a shoppig center. I also like this foggy mysterious feel of it :)

Here's my entry for this week. This photo is taken on our farmland in San Isidro, Davao Oriental Philippines. I and the whole family had a wonderful visit to our farm and we enjoyed harvesting bananas. I also took pictures of the wild flowers and some farm animals. We love the trip and we love nature the most!

Beautiful greenery, thank you! :)

Hi @phortun As we pass through the autumn, we can see leaves on ground almost everywhere. This photo is from my garden. I wanted to gather the leaves then take a photo of autumn mood ;)

Location: İstanbul.

Thanks for this original autumnal greeting from Turkey! :)

You are welcome ;)

While traveling this morning to another state in my country, the surrounding got my attention so I had to take the shot 📸.
So serene and peaceful.

This is somewhere in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria.

Interesting capture, thank you for joining the challenge :)

Thank you very much 🥰 @phortun

Congrats to the winners!

Thanks for checking out the winning collection!

Congrats to all the winners !

Thanks for checking out their entries :)

Nature is beautiful anywhere on the planet, just look beyond the obvious.
Thanks for sharing these photos, for me, at least now, it is the only way to know the other side of the world.

Thank you for your kind feedback :) Quite a lot of people have already said that this challenge is a nice way for them to see the natural beauties of the world and I´m really happy to hear that :)

beautiful forest view...
The water and the trees bear witness to that beauty...Very beautiful and extraordinary...Thank you for sharing...

Thanks for your kind feedback and feel free to join the new round ;)

Good luck 🍀 everyone and awesome shots

Thank you :) I hope to see any entry from you too :)

Good luck everyone on this week's nature contest

Thanks :) Will you join too?

I will, I will try to step out in search of a good nature picture 😂🖼️

Awesome :)

Beautiful nature!

Indeed :) Will we get to see another entry from Laos here? :)

I’ve noticed recently that a lot of top of mountainous clouds shots have been featured a lot. I still remember how confusing the last one by onlavu was for me.

Those are great shots, guys.

Yeah, the combination of mountains and clouds is so just interesting :) That shot by @onlavu was nothing short of a mindfuck, I remember :D

😯😁😉

Congratulations, your post has been upvoted by @dsc-r2cornell, which is the curating account for @R2cornell's Discord Community.

Díky :) Poslední kola se nějak zvedá účast i kvalita příspěvků. Já si nestěžuju, jen moje neustále vyčerpaná voting power asi jo :D

Voting power, to je věčný boj. Já toho, oproti tobě, rozdám sotva čtvrtinu a stejně večer končím kolem 80% :-)
