History says all the times that,
not all the good and bright students do help one particular nation to succeed but there are more of back benchers who at the later phase of their life have done something which literally changed the fate of the people residing in a state and thats in fact one of the strange yet significant thing to discuss on, I think.Maybe, through this discourse I am about to raise today, would help us to come to a understanding that can make us go further.
Lets see, what that is...
I have been doing what I love to do not as a Professional duty to make,but I really been over the years in the academy of a university and seen a lot of the ill points that I think should fix up and move on from the current position for a better tomorrow. Maybe, its not just for our own academic beneficiaries or profit to gain by implementing,but what we make out from our own academic success and work, ultimately guides us to reach the demands inclusively as a nation.
There is a modern maxim so much popular over the world, we know this as a great example of educational quotes. But,I learnt about that years ago and it goes like ;
France was saved by her Idlers.
We talk about students who make wonderful grades and obtain record breaking marks for which we become so much proud and happy for the outstanding success and contribution led by them.Huh ha,looks so common and you might have seen that, attending in a farewell ceremony hosted by the final class students and when they do receive the medals and chrests, we as an educator become so delighted and I am sure that you also dont miss a blink to see that.
But, as we go through teaching and nourishing the students we tend to overlook greatly on the students who has the greater influence in terms of obtaining good marks and the first row students who relatively do make creditable scores all the time in their academic life. Look,the medals go to them,the chrests go to them, the rewards and the scholarships also handed over to them when it comes to the excellences and the same thing happens to all respects we see around.
Now, standing here in this viewpoint, being honest, I personally want to ask a question to all of you who are reading out this piece from me. Do you think this is good for the education and the system we are bringing up and promoting to the greater cause of nobility? Will this practice lead us to the desired goal of getting what we want from the education sector?
Maybe, not, the answer would look like.If all the time we have to see carry coal to newcastle all the time,then what about other portions and parts of the education sector ? Maybe, this has become so rooted in the culture that we are to do this all the time and make this our own practice done out of habit, then we would possibly see results for which we wont be proud for. Not all the good students contribute to the noble cause of building a country -- its the neglected groups of people who show common promise and commitment to the noble cause, that ultimately leads our fate,believe this or not -- but its true, indeed.
Maybe, we could bring back the good part of the scale of measuring the students in a wiser angle of view, that would make a sustained attempt in cleaning our views and reform bad habits we succumb to most of the times,as a teacher fulfilling all the needs that an enlightened promising young knowledge seekers want, good or bad,low or high category, irrespective of the academic success or status that they hold.
When we do make sure this happen every chance and we keep pushing to better us in that sense and change the culture that we hold in our mind and create the effort to longer period, then we could see that, education has changed such a degree, that we are amazed and astounded --by the light,by the sparks and the knowledge of talents that burns in the broad day of light. Perhaps the change is next,,
It does start from you,lets have a try,shall we??? 🙂
