Can we make tasty bread with 20+ year old wheat berries?
In the late 1900s, a potential disaster known as Y2K loomed on the horizon. With many four digit year data dates represented only by the last two digits in computer codes, programmers realized that year 2000 would be indistinguishable from year 1900, and a possible worldwide disaster loomed on the horizon. Many concerned people stockpiled food, water, guns, ammunition, and precious metals. Some of those stockpiles still exist to this day.
In this episode, we tap into some wheat berries from the late 1900s and test out how Y2K Apocalypse Bread tastes, more than 20 years later. Enjoy the show!

Had the wheat berries been stored with oxygen absorbers and mylar and/or nitrogen-packed, or just in a five-gallon bucket?
Just in the 6 gallon buckets. Nothing else.
