Hello, friends especially foodies!

Last Saturday, mom and I went to one of our favorite place to dine in, a comfortable FOOD COURT which was located on 5th floor West mall Grand Indonesia. Maybe your questions would be why we have this FOOD COURT as our favorite dine in place?

Well let me explain about it a bit, first this place is always well prepared, they had great ambience, spacy area and also they even have their own washing hands area and also restrooms inside. Next thing is, this place have so many food stalls which you could choose because they had many kind of dishes from asian to western, so you don’t have to worry cause they must fulfill your appetite, and mostly the food there were tasty. And last but not least, the prices they offered won’t make you broke. Yes you could consider the range prices of food you want, and no need to worry because you could still taste many good food under 50K IDR (around 3.3 USD).

But one thing for sure if you want to eat there you should come earlier than the dine time..

And now I would like to share what we had there… and you would see would the price make you broke?!?

Thank God we arrived there at almost 11, that means most of the stalls were already opened but many chairs would be available because it even not yet lunch time, but both mom and I were already starving that day, so we right away to our favorite Japanese Ramen stall.

Here how the stall looked

Located next to a popular Korean snack which was new in the food court, the stall was still empty, good thing because then later right after us another customers came. A warning, if you don’t want to wait in the long line of customers, you should come earlier like we did.

Like the words on their top wrote, nagoya’s ramen. This place is a nagoya’s ramen specialist. They put the choice of menu on their back top and also on the cashier table.

You could choose between their ramen:
• Sugakiya Ramen – authentic sugakiya means you only got 2 slices of their BBQ chasiew chicken, mushroom and leeks
• Egg Ramen – The same with sugakiya but in addition you would get half of their egg
• Niku iri Ramen – 5 slices of chicken chasiew toppings, others just like sugakiya ramen
• Special Ramen – our favorite cause it had the most toppings, 5 slices of the chicken, an egg, mushroom and also leeks
• Spicy Ramen – it had spicy and savory flavour
• Tantanmen – it had sweet spicy flavour with 2 slices of chicken, an egg and pakcoy. The newest ramen they had.

There they also had spicy mazesoba, the one and only dry ramen they offered.
Besides, they also had tori don, tebasaki, fried gyoza and also fried takoyaki.
For sweets they had kurizen (red nut iced), matcha kinitoki, Sundae, shaved ice, cone ice cream, ocha, buavita and mineral water.

Also you could chooses their combo menu if you want to get more than just ala carte menu they offered.

After we paid they would gave us what they said a pager but I would like to say it was an alarm, it would beep and ring when our order well prepared. What we bought that day was our favorite special ramen, one ala carte, the one combo with their gyoza (we never tried it before) and also free flow cold ocha.

The price in total was 100K (you could see you should pay extra 20K for the combo) so it was around 6.7 USD for two persons. But believe me this place won’t disappointed you with their food.

While waiting the food to be prepared I took some photos of the dining area around.

You could see that it was clean, bright and also cozy, some places had sofa chairs. And also like I said before, they had the toilet there too.

After around 12 minutes of waiting, the alarm beeped and rang, I right away took our order to their stall (nice that I got the chair next to the stall). Here how our brunch looked

You could see that we had 2 main dishes, both were the same, special ramen. You could also see a portion of fried gyoza there (they put on their special chilli oil to it, hopefully it wouldn’t be too spicy), a glass of cold ocha and I got their special chilli flake too (it brought extra spicy flavour so make sure that you don’t take too much of it).

Now let me tell you one by one of the taste and flavour of them..

First from their SPECIAL RAMEN

Special ramen means we got extra toppings, like I said but before I talked about the toppings let me tell you first about their ramen noodle and soup. Ramen noodle they served had savory flavour with chewy soft texture. It had authentic milk like soup which had savory tasty chicken broth authentic flavour out. So one thing for sure you should try their ramen…

Psst i put some chilli flake on my ramen to get some extra spiciness :9

Now how about the toppings?

The toppings they put there included Japanese egg which you could choose between half boiled or ¾ boiled like we chose, so tasty with juicy texture in the middle. It also had the mushroom which was chewy but soft plus the soft thick BBQ chasiew chicken slices. Like usually it had soft smooth texture, with sweet dominant flavour (only a bit of savory flavour you could taste), but it blended well with the savory ramen noodle and soup that they had.

Remember we also had one the best side dishes ever their GYOZA

20220803_075947.jpg

The gyoza they had was the best. I mean it had thin crispy skin, inside was chicken with leeks with savory flavour. Plus it served with spicy chilli oil, made it perfect. Both mom and I think these were the best ones we ever tasted. So beside the ramen, you also should try their GYOZA too.

Their free flow OCHA was best in the morning too.

Why I said so? Because in the afternoon the ice cubes they put in the dispenser would be already melted and blended with the ocha which made the ocha less and the water more.

When we had it last Saturday, it was still thick in matcha fresh flavour, and you really should try it too.

So when will you try our Favorite Ramen and also Gyoza?
