🦉 The little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius)

📚 Charadrius Greek: kharadra gorge, ravine, kharadrios nocturnal bird mentioned in the Bible
📚 dubius (lat.) doubtful, unclear

Earlier, in the old days, these birds were called "Tie wearer". Apparently for the black feathers on the neck that formed a kind of collar.
I found this little friend on the banks of the river, more precisely, at the intersection of two rivers, where one small river flows into a large one.
He saw me, but was not afraid. I think this is due to the fact that these birds are already accustomed to seeing people, and understand that people are not dangerous to them. The fact is that there are always fishermen on these shores, and apparently the birds are used to seeing them.

That's right birds tends to study there environment alot, they study human behavior too thanks for sharing your experience.

Какие большие глаза!!!! Как ненастоящие.

Oh, I also like to watch them very much. They will be here in Austria next spring and I already await them with great anticipation. There are several places where they can be found. But I know only 2 places that are close to my home.
