Brand new team badge ahead of ShoKiN day 9

Social spending is what ShoKiN is all about, a really crucial way to spend HBD as friends. Each Saturday, we meet together as a group at a listed business location to network, have fun and relax. Most important, we are promoting HBD is a feeless peer-to-peer payment solution for businesses to adopt. How we look is as important as how we want people to see us. So from tomorrow, we will add our shiny shokiN team badge to our Face cap and T-shirt.

Identification is important in team gatherings

I already shared an experience we had while speaking with the manager of Tiger bar. When I mentioned that our shokin team would visit their facility last weekend, she asked how are we to be identified. She qas expecting that we have some for of ID in addition to our branded T-shirts. That gave me the idea of a this ShoKiN team badge.

The badge is a simple ID that has the name of our team and the username of the person person wearing it. It also has HBD logo. This badge will especially be important the first time we are visiting a newly listed business. It will be very easy to look at it and know the Hive identity (username) of the person wearing it. To the business managers or sales reps, they will see us as a serious group, having a visible means to identify our team members and other customers.

Beyond making a good business impression, having a team badge also makes it easy for new members to know old members and vice versa. Since ShoKiN days provide us with a rare opportunity to meet everyone in person, there will be no need to ask people for their username especially if they are new to the group. If we all wear the badge, you can simple take a look at it and know the username of the person wearing it. This makes team networking fun and easy.

Making a simple design in line with web3 principles

I made the team badge with a free app called ID Card Maker. The app comes with lots of interesting templates that you could just edit to make something nice. Below is a sample I made for myself.

I made for 20 other members of the team, a total of 21 badges. I will make more for others. Funds from @shokin helped pay for 90% of the cost of printing and buying the ID card holder. The friends will make a little contribution to help cover the left over coat as they collect their badge

It took time to design, lay and print all the badges before inserting them into the card holders. But at the end, they look nice, I even made a video of it and some pictures below.

ShokIN day 9 - bring it on!!!!

I believe that ShoKiN day 9 will be massively fun and interesting. We also have an extra gear with this badge to look more like company reps. Last time, we distributed free face caps to members, some already have their Tshirts too.
