Hello guys, welcome to Hive Open mic week # 132. For this week's theme, Woman Life and Freedom I'm going to be doing a song by Tears or fears ft Oleta Adams Woman in chains.
This song talks about what women are facing in their everyday life. She's told to act as she's told. Walking under the shadow of her man and society like she's nothing. Always says she's fine but she's not, who would she complain to? The government? Her husband? Is it her husband that takes her as just a baby machine and someone he can come home to whenever his horny?
Every woman deserves to breathe freely, without the fear of being killed just because of breathing. Every woman has the right to say No. She has the right to speak her truth and the Right to life.
There are some women out there who can't speak and don't have a Right over their own life, who doesn't have a say in their society.
I hope and pray someday women will LIVE and have FREEDOM
lyrics
You better love loving and you better behave
You better love loving and you better behave
Woman in chains
Woman in chains
Calls her man the great white hope
Says she's fine, she'll always cope
Ohh, a woman in chains
Woman in chains
Well I feel lying and waiting is a poor man's deal (a poor man's deal)
And I feel hopelessly weighed down by your eyes of steel (your eyes of steel)
Well it's a world gone crazy
Keeps woman in chains
Oh oh oh oh oh
Woman in chains
Woman in chains
Trades her soul as skin and bones
Sells the only thing she owns, oh oh
Woman in chains
Woman in chains
Men of stone
Men of stone
Oh, no no no
Well I feel
Deep in your heart, there are wounds time can't heal
And I feel
Somebody somewhere is trying to breathe
Well you know what I mean
It's a world gone crazy
Keeps woman in chains
It's under my skin but out of my hands
I'll tear it apart but I won't understand
I will not accept the greatness of man
It's a world gone crazy
Keeps a woman in chains
Gone crazy, keeps a woman in chains
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her
So free her

Wow. You got the masculine voice part perfectly. Women really need a breathing space and not being treated as one baby factory. The song is so touching and I love it
