It is a dark time in my life right now..
My mother started showing symptoms of cachexia late last year but it wasn't too severe so as all things in life not much attention was paid to it even though inside I dreaded the day it would come sticking its head out at me in full force!
I always have and always will have the attitude that, all that is right now can still change!
Without this motto I will be completely lost in life.
For those of you who do not know what Cachexia is let me explain,,
It is a very bad. You start losing weight then, muscles begin atrophying and then climbs in the weakness of the body along with in all honesty almost ALL appetite to eat anything!
In my opinion more people die because of Cachexia instead of the cancer they are busy fighting.
The person becomes so frail and helpless that unless he/she has a fantastic back up team behind them to help them eat, drink and get about I can understand why so many pass away in the frail care homes or hospitals under this situation,,
Please if you have someone you love who is suffering wasting syndrome, in my opinion it is just like a person with depression. It becomes something that your whole family needs to address, create a game plan and then follow it to help YOU heal yourself systematically just like with a person suffering depression needs their families help, guidance to heal a person with cachexia needs it ten fold more.
When you have cancer.. you could go into the phase of cachexia where your body literally begins wasting away from lack of nutrients absorption as well as physical strength..
What happens inside of your body, you eat food.. foods turn into sugars, which feeds cancer cells, cancer cells produce lactic acid which goes into your liver, the liver turns it into glucose and pumps it back into the bloodstream where the cancer cells are waiting for their next feed. So the vicious cycle goes on and on.
It is crucial to help yourself or your loved one to become alkaline! You can use the bicarb and mollases routine to achieve this state.
Then, Please..Please start taking magnesium, mega Vit C, Cannabis oil if you are not already using it. Also try and get to eat as much as possible, also in form of liquid supplement shakes, soups, broths anything with a real feeding value. Also make sure to get something that is strong enough to suppress your nausea! It's crucial that you keep down the sustenance you are taking in.
Make sure your stomach works at least once a day so that your body gets rid of all those built up toxins!
If you are still strong enough,, look into using coffee enemas as they are brilliant at binding the toxins and flushing it out your bowels.

I hear Ketosis is beneficial, but I don't know if the stress of it is going to be too much.
Basically running on saturated fats like coconut oil instead of sugar/carbs. Might be something to consider. Wish I could do more.
Yes, she has that as part of her diet.. but with Cachexia...nausea is a huge problem. So we have had to resort to a nausea suppressant but I am so glad to see that you have all this knowledge.. it is very positive if more and more people learn about nutrition and what to do and how to cope in tough situations like these..
If I were in this situation, I would avoid all carbs in my diet entirely including fruit and root vegetables. At this point, even the smallest amount of carbs is not good. I would try to get into full ketosis. Even the slightest amount of carbs is enough to pull you out of it.
If not diagnosed with cancer, it is of course good to eat fruit and vegatables. The best idea is to go through cycles of on and off ketosis as a measure to prevent the development of cancer and also has many benefits to do this.
Check this out, this guy is really good:
Wish I knew all this stuff years ago.
Thanks! I am going to look into it more in the morning!! I appreciate all the efforts you are going to
I'm no stranger to having a loved one go through this . There are just too many good people going through this including what family members go through. If I had only known the truth, I would have put my foot down to not stop at fast food when we were going to get treatments even at the hospital itself downstairs. It is crazy that doctors won't even mention this stuff. Guess they can't say much because it isn't 'approved' by the regulatory organizations and they would lose their jobs. I always wonder what would be different if they were treating their own loved ones.
Hang in there, never give up.
very true hey
