Lemon And Coffee


Two of the things I consume daily are coffee and lemons. If I can't find lemons, I take limes instead. Same thing. Apart from being two sources of joy for me; espressos, americanos, lemon juice, e.t.c., they happen to have some very good benefits especially related to metabolism, weight maintenance and liver health.


Coffee contains caffeine, which is a stimulant that raises metabolism by increasing the number of calories burned at rest. Caffeine works by stimulating the nervous system, which in turn triggers the release of certain hormones, such as adrenaline. These hormones signal the body to break down stored fats and sugars and use them for energy, which raises the overall metabolic rate. This is why some people find that drinking coffee can help them lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

Lemon does not directly raise metabolism like caffeine in coffee does, but it can be a beneficial addition to a diet for weight loss because of its properties It is a natural diuretic, which means it can help flush out excess water weight from the body. It also contains a high amount of vitamin C, which is an antioxidant that helps support a healthy metabolism.

Lemon is also low in calories, so adding it to your diet in place of high-calorie foods can help reduce overall calorie intake and support weight loss. Additionally, drinking lemon water can also be beneficial as it can help to promote hydration and aid in digestion, which can also help support a healthy metabolism - particularly when a tiny drop of vinegar is incorporated.

The Liver also benefits from intake of lemon. It is a natural detoxifier and can help to cleanse the liver by flushing out toxins and waste products. The citric acid in lemon can help to promote the production of bile, which is a substance that the liver produces to help break down fats. This breakdown of fat, rather than storage of it as fat, reduces the deposit of fats in the abdominal area. This is why some people claim that drinking lemon juice with vinegar first thing in the morning, and last thing before going to bed, can help reduce the diameter of your waistline!

An additional benefit for the liver is the fact that lemons also contain flavonoids which have been found to have a protective effect on and help to reduce inflammation in the liver. Anything that reduces inflammation is good. That is the source of a lot of our ailments.

So there you have it. Coffee is good for you, as long as it is moderated and you don't lace it in sugar and (too much) milk. Lemons are even better. They taste great, and do the body much good.

Good choices! Lemons are definitely very important and have all kinds of benefits for our body, a lot to do with digestion and detoxification.

Lemon is very good for human health. I also drink coffee once a day, but not add lemon. On your request, I will check anyone's test by adding lemon. Jym trainer has also told me to increase the consumption of lemons and green tea will reduce weight. During the day, when we make salad, we eat it with lemon.

Look like a cool combination. I will try to use this combination, i just had a coffee, but never think to add lemon to it.
