My word, hasn't Bitcoin done well in a very short period of time. The bullish momentum continues and it shows no signs of slowing, quite the opposite in fact. Since the night of the US election Bitcoin has climbed and then climbed even more. It has reached a number of new ATHs in recent days and today it hit another one. CoinMarketCap records Bitcoin touching $98,308 before pulling back. It's an astonishing accomplishment.
Bitcoin is well on the way to reaching that all important $100,000 figure. As I have been saying for a couple of weeks now in the Crypto & Cola Show on Discord, once Bitcoin hits $100k the game changes. In my mind the million dollar question at that point is answered, in my humble opinion Bitcoin will eventually reach the $1m mark, so it becomes a question of when not if anymore.
It is truly remarkable to see how far Bitcoin has come. I got into this game in 2017 when Bitcoin was trading at $1200 a piece. For me that price was mind blowing. How could an algorithm born of the internet with, technically, no physical infrastructure produce a new global currency that could come to the financial rescue of millions of ordinary people across the world. I was hooked from that start. I was beyond excited to see that there was an alternative to the hideous centrally controlled banking system that is the source of so much human misery.
Just look at where Bitcoin is right now. If only I could have seen back in March 2017 where Bitcoin was going and what it would achieve. I would have found every penny I could have to buy as much Bitcoin as I could. I don't think I'm the only one with a story like that!
At the moment Bitcoin is hanging around the $97k mark, where it has settled for the past few hours. Anyone brave enough to say when it's going to hit $100,000? I'm not, because you just never know. Some even believe Bitcoin might even pull back quite a bit from this point before it comes back for the $100k. I hope they're wrong. Either way it's exciting times people.
Peace!
